I think one of the coolest things I have seen in recent memory was the black panther opening night and weekend. So many pictures of proud black men, women and black families going to see such an amazing and positive representation of their people.
Many of these people and their families were dressed in traditional African clothing or clothing based on Wakanda. I even got a few old $rk heads that no longer post here post themselves, their SO or their family dressed for the occasion on social media.
When a movie can bring so much pride, joy, inspiration and so much more to millions of people. You know it’s done something special.

I Really wanted to stay off SRK for my birthday today and enjoy the most of it that I can…I come in and see this.
That’s pretty depressing to see. He defined that role in a movie that if you said years ago would crack a billion and be a cultural phenomenon I would never believe it. RIP good sir.
Edit - what makes this painful is my GFs mother is stage 4 with the exact same cancer so it’s a little close to home…
