So, I read last week’s Ultimate Xmen yesterday. The writer from Heroes is writing it. What a HORRIBLE story. So, fuck this book. I’ll come back to it when somebody good writes it again.
Ultimate Fantastic Four is a fun read, but the art sucks. Fuck you Top Cow.
So that mindfuck-runaway-coward-throw-your-ass-to-the-sun-cause-i-cant-do-anything-else-Sentry is going to get a new silver age like series and one of his enemies is going to be Mountainman a super hilbily with meteor powers. OH GAWD
Nah, they’ll likely save that for its own event where the Void totally goes wild and they have to re-erase the Sentry, but then he’ll come back for the next event.
Yeah the next Marvel Zombies apparently has the Initiative group fighting them in continuity. It comes out during Halloween.
Got a War Machine question for anybody here:
when did War Machine start having cyborg parts? I was flipping through some Initiative issues and noticed after his run in with KIA, his face was part human and part machine.
AFAIK War Machine having cyborg parts was introduced in Avengers Initiative and hasn’t been explained yet. Not 100% sure since I haven’t read that book in a while, but fairly sure it was something introduced in that book. He was fine when he was running O.N.E. at least.
Yeah, it was just introduced in Initiative like 2 issues back or so. Before that War Machine had appeared in the book but never took off his armor leading some to think it was someone new in the War Machine armor or that he was a Skrull.
Now we know, also he is getting a few spotlight issues (written by Gage current Initiative co-writer) later on in the year within the pages of Iron Man: Director of SHIELD for the book’s SI tie in.
I’m a newb when it comes to comics… and I apologize if someone asked this already… but what became of Onslaught in the marvel comics? Did he ever fight Apocalypse?
Onslaught made a come back after House of M when Prof. X and Magneto (along with a lot of Mutants) lost their powers, that energy formed Onslaught. Then he went after Franklin Richards and wound up on the Heroes Reborn world. When the dust was settled, he was last seen floating by the prison in the Negative Zone where they are housing a lot super heroes and villains that are not registered with the government. This all went down during Onslaught Reborn, um, bad Liefeld art and bad Loeb story…
He fought against Apocalypse, Kind of? When he first appeared Apocalypse was MIA for a while. When Onslaught’s saga was concluding Apocalypse appeared watching over the events of his final battle AKA the last fight in Marvel vs. Capcom 1 - Remove all Capcom characters, some of the Marvel characters like Venom and USAgent, put the Marvel characters in their appropriate outfits and take away Wolverine’s nose and Adamantium and there you go! Apoc removed Franklin Richards from Onslaught’s body, so he was involved with that battle. LOL basically everyone jumped Onslaught. :nunchuck:
Apocalypse, Cable paired up to attack Onslaughts citadel to free Franklin and X-Man.
Onslaught detected them and while Cable tried to attack him, Apocalypse decided to kill Franklin as he saw him as a future threat. Susan Richards was there all along though and intervened.
Sweet… now… here’s something else I always wanted to know.
I remember growing up I saw a comic where a bunch of symbiotes showed up and attacked Spiderman. They were all color coordinated, too. Where did they come from and what happened to them?
They were Carnage’s spawns. They fought Spidey and Venom and lost. They magically disappeared when the '90s ended and readers grew up and got more mature.
