LOL no, I vaguely remember a girl symbiote that looked like she was on fire… a big light blue symbiote, and maybe a green one. Idk… I was all mixed up. By then I was hooked on Savage Dragon, and I didn’t even finish reading THAT.

Yeah there were a lot of symbiotes in the '90s. One of my Marvel Universe talks about them in detail. This really is a question for Orochizoolander, the Symbiote fan when he shows up lol! Not sure if Planet of the Symbiotes was the ‘central’ story but they were really all over the freaking place back then, male, female, you name it… Currently Marvel only has Venom (Gargan now, formerly Scorpion) and Toxin, with Anti-Venom coming in August. Carnage is currently dead, ripped in half by Sentry.

Wow thunderbolts is awesome never thought I’d say that when i 1st stared reading it. I mean it was good with zemo around but with norman running it and the crew they have now its so beastly.

I had stop reading it for a few months after zemo gone but still was pick up the books and just finished catching up completely…good stuff!

Ultimate Spiderman was pretty weak. Wasn’t feeling the whole nonsense with the Shocker. Somewhat funny, I guess. Xmen was a lot better than I thought it would be. Gambit/Prof X team-up ftw. X-Force was pretty buff, too. I’m definitely enjoying that book a lot. Clayton Crane’s artwork is too delicious.

Still got a few things left from last week to read. Matt Fraction wrote this month’s Iron Fist, so that should be good.

Secret Invasion #3 Highlights:

  • SHIELD hellicarrier is in the ocean and Maria Hill is trying to gather everybody and see whats going on. Skrull Jarvis comes and tells SHIELD to surrender

  • Captain Marvel is beating the hell out of the Thunderbolts BUT for whatever reason he doesn’t kill them and he tears up. Norman Osborn notices this and offers to talk to him over some coffee since he knows he isn’t the real Captain Marvel.

  • Young Avengers are fighting the Super Skrulls and Teddy tries to talk to them and it doesn’t work. The Initiative led by Gauntlet and Taskmaster show up take out some of the Super Skrulls.

  • meanwhile Spiderwoman is busy scanning the area in the Savage Lands and sees Echo up in the trees and blasts her. When Echo says she isn’t a Skrull, Spiderwoman responds with, “I Know” and ends up blasting her again which knocks Echo unconscious. Jessica then proceeds to where Tony is and starts saying how he has helped the Skrull Empire and his “Queen” by turning the heroes against each other and positioning himself as head of SHIELD. And if not for that, the invasion would’ve never happened.

  • Cut back to the fight in New York and the Super Skrulls start fighting back. One of the Skrulls use Dr. Stranges magic to incapacitate all the heroes. All of a sudden the ground shakes and the Skrull using the magic gets a hole blasted through him.
    Last panel shows Nick Fury w/ big ass gun in tow and his new Howling Commandos ready to turn the tide in the fight.[/details]

Thought it was a pretty good issue though for 4 bucks more pages would’ve been nice.
I’m still on the fence of Spiderwoman being a Skrull though. Seems too obvious.

SI#3 was good and i must say that Yu art is getting better with each issue.
The last 3 pages were amazing
