Bendis said that Iron and Cap are defintly not Skrulls dont know about Bucky though
I think it’s safe to assume Bucky, Sharon Carter, the Black Widow, the Falcon aren’t Skrulls. That’s what my Brubaker Sense tells me.
So… out of curiousity… what’s it feel like when your Brubaker Sense “tingles”?
He might be talking about them not making Bucky or the Cap at the bottom of the ocean, not turn out to be Skrulls, but from the Captain America that they mention in the solicits I am guessing a Skrull or two will try posing as Cap.
I can’t think of a witty response to this question. Dammit.
Is Brubaker doing a good job on the Marvel books he’s writing, or is he effing things up? Is he a really talented writer, or is he one of those guys that’s full of himself and overrated? Someone educate me, please.

he is owning in iron first, cap am, daredevil, and of course who can’t forget CRIMINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!1111111
i haven’t been reading his xmen cause of money issues, but i somehow always find a way to have money when iron fist comes out
Brubaker is doing a very good job on Daredevil although it compared to his godlike Captain America it looks like average, but if you are a DD fan it is still a great book to pick up month in and out.
Captain America as mentioned is top shelf stuff.
Immortal Iron Fist is co-written by Matt Fraction so while Brubaker’s influence isn’t as great as other books, it is one of the best solos you can pick up. And Aja on art is nuts sometimes.
Uncanny X-Men probably the weakest book he has done at Marvel. It is currently on a upswing after Messiah Complex but the year and a half before MC was only decent and somewhat forgettable.
CRIMINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!1 111111 is one of the best books in years. Find the 2 trades and pick up the most recent #1 of the relaunch, each of the trade is a stand alone arc and the recent #1 is also a one issue story so you got places to jump into at. CRIMINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!1 111111 is called such for a reason.
Brevoort talks about what’s going on with the Marvel Universe now after Civil War and how things are leading up to Secret Invasion. Interesting…
All i ask out of Secret Invasion is that we don’t get some stupid ass ending where Earth and the Skrulls make peace between each other or somehow the Skrulls pull some subtle victory.
Hopefully Secret Invasion will finally pull together a resolution to the storylines from Avengers Disassembled to now.
i think you just predicted the ended perfectly
OH GOD I hope i didn’t:mad:
Avengers:The Initiative #10
Spoiler
Damn the OG New Warriors are finally back. Looks like Rage,Ultra Girl, Slapstick,Justice, and some other chick are gonna take care of the KIA guy.
I am a bit nervous regarding the story myself. I want to give this a chance but I just cant right now. I was a bit disappointed in WWH, CW is bullshit trying to make registration a bad thing, HOM was decent but not so great and Avengers Disassembled I enjoyed alot but i hope that what you stated isnt true.
Man, talk about a mismatch! KIA would absolutely wreck their shit.
Seeing as how they need a resolution to the storyline i can only see two things happening:
- OG New Warriors fighting KIA and literally killing him and also exposing the MVP cloning in the process.
or
- The chick that previously owned the Tactigon actually getting it back in her possession somehow.
Should I bother picking up Avengers Initiative?
I don’t think Initiative is that great. It isn’t particularly well-crafted. It’s just a basic and traditional superhero team series that has the Avengers brand. Important Marvel Universe events might take place in the series so I guess it’s something to flip through if you just want to know what’s happening.
I just read a couple issues of The Order and thought that was a ridiculously better book than Initiative, but it seems like Initiative is selling decently while The Order has already been canceled with the upcoming issue nine or ten. That sucks, and probably makes me hate on Avengers: Initiative more than I already was.
I’m not a fan of the Order because it reminds me too much of DC and Luthor’s Everyman Program.
