I sure hope Colossus isnt a skrull whedon has said on several occations that he didt wanna participate in crossovers or be influenced by major company crossovers. and i really like were Astonishing is going. i think its the best x book out there. I would even go so far as to say its the best marvel book along with Ultimates right now 
Colossus could be a skrull, Whedon may have not wanted to do any crossovers (not like he really could given the lateness of AXM) but there is only one more issue left in his AXM run. What happens after that to Colossus is up to the folks at Marvel, you can look to Morrisson’s Magento for a further explanation.
We already know that the Skrulls had a Colossus skrull. And with Colossus about to be on the new Defenders team, and with the skrulls planning to have a skrull on every team in the Initiative…it’s looking like Colossus absolutely could be a skrull.

I’m burned out on Earth-shattering events. Civil War, World War Hulk, THAT Spider-Man story, I’ve had enough. I don’t even give five craps about Secret Invasion. When I heard that garbage about Skrulls popping up in New Avengers, I thought it was the most retarded thing I’d ever heard of. I had no idea it was gonna lead up to Marvel’s 08 event. And does every comic publisher have to have some world altering event each year? Joe Q said WWH was gonna rival CW in impact. Of course I was already skeptical of this at the time he said it and now it’s abundantly clear that Joephestio was talking out of his fat anus.

I like www.dcbservice.com and Amazon. eBay is also a great place to find full runs of stuff. You can usually find almost anything you want on eBay as long as you are patient.
I had some good experiences with Mile High Comics, so you might want to try them also. They hooked me up with the 9 issue run of Marvel’s Kid 'n Play series.

yeah i can see what you mean, kind of distills the importance of each one huh. it’s all i’ve known though since i only really started reading just a couple years ago (when house of M was happening).
I mostly like the big events but i do agree that there are too much of them and only some of them are actuly good (like messiah complex for example) WWH was a fun read it was like watching a Michael Bay film tons of action no plot what so ever a summer blockbuster and i didnt see the impact on the MU either (btw whats going on with Hulk is he underwater sleeping or what main story wise? ) but i think it will stop (more like i hope it will stop) after SI cause Bendis said he was planning it for New avengers 1 so maybe now they will take a break but probaly not
I think you can read a lot of great marvel books without even paying attention to their events.
In recent years, the only bad crossover thing has been WWH. Which wasn’t really even bad. Just kind of silly, since they grossly under-powered Iron Fist, Ms. Marvel, and a few others. Civil War was jawesome stuff. Messiah Complex was great. And Secret Invasion will probably be pretty damn good.
And yeah, just look at Immortal Iron Fist, Captain America, Cable and Deadpool, Iron Man: Director of SHIELD, Punisher MAX and Thunderbolts. And the best stuff in New Avengers didn’t come from the skrulls. It came from the Hood. And this doesn’t even count limited series like alot of the Marvel Knights stuff, Howard the Duck, etc etc. If you’re not into crossovers, there’s still plenty to check out.
How fares The Mighty Avengers series? Recent one looks like Doom about so screw up the team.

The artwork in Ultimate FF is the worst shit I’ve ever seen. They need to get Stuart Immonen to draw that shit, too. His artwork has been great in Ultimate Spidey.
