just since wolverine orgins movie, i heard they had a screenplay for a deadpool movie for ryan rynolds and i kept wondering how they would do it with him being cancerous and disfigured in the comics, They solved the problem, im hoping now Domino will give him a chance as LOL they should be a couple…deadpool can pretend he is all fly and then gets abused by domino as the battered husband role
but prefer cancerous deadpool. but he deserves some booty for a quick minute
Lol Uncanny X-Force is canon. Unless it’s an Ultimate book or Marvel Knights, Max, an all ages or whatevs it’s a 616 book, the mainstream Marvel Universe. All the Deadpool stuff is canon.
AvX this week… not sure whether or not I should say, “well done” or “wtf!” On the bright side, THANK YOU Olivier Copiel is coming on board for art duties next issue.
I didn’t care for the Thor annual too much because it felt slow and clunky. Having said that, it made me nostalgic for the good old cosmic days from the 90s when Silver Surfer and Adam Warlock and the Infinity Watch had monthlies.
Edit: Can’t wait to see the conclusion of Amazing Spider-Man this week!
Well the first 4-6 issues of The Mighty Thor dealt with galactic stuff (Silver Surfer, Galactus and pwnage) So I thought it was just a retelling of that.
Man, When I read X-men I want stories about mutant and human struggles, robots and or ninja’s and other mutant baddies.
All this vampire, magic, and “other” stuff in my xman books is lame. Can I just get my old fashion mutants vs mutants or humans or space monsters…
AVX#5
[details=Spoiler] What are they doing to my beloved phoenix, its like a joke now… Thor “fighting” phoenix. Them shooting weapons at it. THE PHOENIX 5! >:( wtf wtf man… Hopefully this whole thing is phoenix force not wanting to fight and has other goals hence why its not burning people to flames.
Also this whole Ironfist Red head girl…Jean reborn?[/details]
Sup guys I just recently got into comics so far I’ve read Planet Hulk and WW which were great It really changed the way I look at hulk I always thought he was just some rampaging monster that couldn’t be controlled. I’ve also read infinity gauntlet and I am currently reading and enjoying thor visionaries. I would like to ask is there any marvel events that you guys consider a must read? Also thor is my favorite out of all the super hero’s any recommendations?
Picked up Captain America #13, Mighty Thor #13, Incredible Hulk #9, Avengers #27, AvX VS #3, and Uncanny X-Force #26. Biggish week of Marvel for me.
Man I really hate Steve Dillon art on Hulk, ruining the story for me. I mean granted when Dillon feels like trying he can put some good work out, but lazy Dillon is the worst shit ever. You know something is wrong when in Wolverine #300 Mystique and Sabretooth are standing next to each other with the SAME FUCKING FACE. Then everyone Wolverine rolled through had the SAME FUCKING FACE.
Now Hulk and Punisher have the SAME FUCKING FACE. Really confusing and just bleh.
I’m not a fan of JMS’ Thor, though. Maybe part of it is personal due to his public comments, but his Thor story doesn’t really have an ending (like most of his other comics). It was like he just got bored and decided to pass it on to the next guy. The selling point of his run is definitely Olivier Coipel’s artwork.
I also reread Dan Jurgens’ Thor last year and it does not hold up. I remember enjoying it when it was first new, but after rereading it I want to go back in time and punch 2003 Zephy in the face. His writing is bad. From the beginning of his run with JRjr onwards, count how many times Jurgens has other characters say, “I’ve never seen Thor so angry before!” and “I’ve never seen Thor hit someone so hard!” It’s absurd.
