Marvel teases “No More Avengers.” You know like “No More Mutants,” lol!
It’s all good. That just means that there will be 200 Avengers left.

No more Marvel would be a sweet tease.
Enjoying the new Wolverine series and catching up on Wolverine & The X-Men, admittedly one of my favorite comics, very fun and well written. Also Broo is the fucking man. Also I marked out at seeing SABRETOOTH come back, although I am less than thrilled at Loeb telling how exactly he is back.
I still say just have it as one of his Marauder clones gone feral and leave it at that.
Also Exiles was a fantastic comic when it was going, I even enjoyed the few arcs with the really horrid art…you know which ones I’m talking about.
Bunn will take over from Remender on Venom.

I got this week’s issue of Hulk Smash Avengers. Yup… I bought a new Marvel comic the same week it was released.
I’m such a Joe Casey whore.
Bunn is getting some huge push
Wolverine
Captain America and Hawkeye
soon to be Venom
Avenging Spider-man 7 was awesome
A solicit in Comic Shop News let it slip that Cyclops is the one who says ‘No More Avengers.’ So unless his next move is to tag in Colossus’ sister Magik it doesn’t mean a whole lot.
More and more I think Cyke is going to die at the end of AvX. IE take a vacation until he comes back to life…

How many mutants are left in the world now after the House of M event?
Marvel always gives a ballpark figure. Roughly 200 plus Hope and the five Mutants she woke up. So I guess a little under 210 or so.

210? That’s an incredibly small number. What are the X-Men stories focused on at the moment?
Avengers vs. X-Men.
Wolverine was fun, for some reason I am personally enamored with Dr. Rot. I think because he isn’t a typical Wolverine villain (To me) and reminds me a great deal of a Batman antagonist.
Avenging Spider-Man was fun, just a cute little story. Marvel Zombies was so-so.
Hey guys I just wanted some classic Avengers tpb recommendations .
It seems kree skrull war korvac saga are good.
Also any trades with thanos or ultron.
Thoughts?

Was going to pick up the latest Punisher yesterday, but I ended up deciding against it after looking through and realising I’d be completely lost as to what’s happening (zombies!?). I think I’ll wait for the next trade (although Vol 2 of Punisher isn’t scheduled to come out for a while unfortunatley). I really don’t think I could get used to reading comics one each month, just too much downtime before each issue.
I did pick up Punisher Max: Homeless trade though (which I didn’t even realise was out yet), I’ve loved Aaron’s run on it so far, so can’t wait to see the conclusion. Also found a TPB of classic Punisher War Journal, which I had no idea they were collecting, it looks really good. Also got Hitman Vol. 6 but that belongs in the DC section I guess.
Just picked up the first three volumes of Ennis’ Punisher MAX run myself today.
I honestly thought thats what it was and had no idea Loeb would be writing it. He already ruined Cable, leave well enough alone!
Bout to sit down and read the latest Uncanny X-Force (everyone should be reading it btw) since I didnt read the last arc at all. Was it worth actually reading? Heard the art was complete ass.
What team? There’s three teams going now, each with different trades.
You could check out Bendis’ New Avengers run from the beginning with trades, fairly alright work until Civil War hit.
Secret Avengers is good stuff, and should have a trade of the first six issues out by now. New Avengers from the Heroic Age onward is one of my favorite reads, but doesn’t really have any of the Avengers from the film in the line-up (Why I assume you are interested).
Basically any Marvel event from Civil War onward has Avengers in it, but I can’t really think of many classic tales of Avengers from the new era.
Im confused as to why there are so many books. Wasn’t there just one avengers book from 60s to 2000.
I guess whichever one has cap iron man thor hulk wasp hawkeye vision
More “classic” characters.
Besides the lineup are there any real difference between them?
Thanks

Nope, even before 2000 there was a fair number of other Avengers titles, a popular one being West Coast Avengers that roughly ran between 1984-1994.
If you really want the movie team (As Hulk hasn’t been an Avenger since the 1960’s) Check out the new Avengers Assemble comic, which has the movie team in new stories today, issue #3 just came out so it shouldn’t be difficult to get caught up.
Happy hunting.
Been reading volumes 1-5 of Essential X-Men lately. Huge X-Men fan. I’m on the 5th volume right but I’m wondering where I should continue after reading these?
Also any good recommendations for any Marvel comics? (Any will do since I’m a comic book fiend :D)
This is a pretty classic Uncanny X-Men story: http://www.amazon.com/Uncanny-X-Men-Volume-The-Draco/dp/0785111344/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1337038150&sr=8-3
It’s out of print according to Amazon, which is why the cheapest used copy is about 28 bucks.
And if you’re jonesing for some Avengers after having watched the movie, you should check out this: http://www.amazon.com/Avengers-Vol-4-Lionheart-Avalon/dp/078511338X
Again, like the X-Men book, this one’s out of print, but you should still do everything in your power to obtain and read this.
You really can’t put a price tag on either of those books.
Thank you so much. After reading such an engaging arc as the Broodworld I just wanted more. I’ve heard that AvX (Avenger v X-Men) was getting really good and wanted to get into that myself. Any opinions on that?
