I just started reading ASM again, but I liked her. She was fresh and had spunk.
And I can’t wait for AvSM - love Joe Mad’s work.

[details=Spoiler]Long time ASM reader and Carlie was basically Gwen Stacy + Debra Whitman + a Mary Sue, AKA she was named after Joe Quesada’s daughter of all people. Been there, read that and that last factoid is kind of creepy…
This and during the BND era (error) every writer wrote her differently so her personality varied from writer to writer. Too many cooks in the kitchen like Dan Slott said himself.
A lot of time was put into Carlie so Slott had to develop the relationship. But much like Jackpot she is just another dropped ball that never caught on with most people.
I guess anyone Spidey dated after his marriage vanished would catch some measure of hate.
Still people seemed much more open to Black Cat and the possibility of Ms. Marvel. Neither which will happen anytime soon because Slott doesn’t want Spidey dating super heroines. He feels it makes the normal life of Peter Parker not so normal.[/details]

So what do you think is gonna happen now? Relationship-less for a while now? Personally I don’t think we’ll see a female love interest for a couple of issues which is not a bad thing in my opinion
^ Non spoilerish response. At NYCC Slott said that there will be a lot more MJ in ASM.
Yes this has been promised before with Marvel not delivering in the last few years. But since Slott said she is going to be a major player and given her role in Spider-Island it’s highly likely that she’ll be in the book a lot more.

That’s just the Point One issue that drops next week that’s going to show you what will happen in 2012. It teases the new Scarlet Spider series so doesn’t sound like a reboot to me.
I hope so, Marvel does not need a reboot. Cant wait for Scarlet to come back. ASM is prob my favorite atm with xforce.

I really don’t think It’s Ben Reilly…honestly I feel like it will be Kaine or someone new under the mask. We’ll see though.
They already said in the new ASM issue in the letters column that Scarlet Spider is Kaine.
Stegman’s pencils in Scarlet Spider are amazing from what I’ve seen.

I hope it’s not super serious time on the Scarlet Spider comic, but we’ll see. In either case good for Kaine, he’s gone through enough shit to deserve a title.

Where is Nova these days, anyone know? If there is any character that I think needs his own title it’s Nova, he could carry it well enough.

Also im looking forward to being able to digitally download my books. I might just cut what i get in half and get both a hard and digital copy, I’d love to be able to pull up a decade of info and comic books on the fly wherever I’m at. All depends on if i can Download a copy to my personal HD though.

Nova never died. He an’ Pete are missing in action… in a dying universe against an enraged Thanos, but you know, no body no death.
Also, anyone following Spider-Island coulda easily inferred Kaine would be the new Scarlet Spider with the big role he played. I personally can’t wait.
