I always thought the admantium bullet was dumb, if they bounced back and hit him then we’d have an ending.
Also Silver Samurai would school Logan. You see his chip and flame sword damage in MvC2? Even being serious I think he has a shot if it wasnt super saiyan wolverine.
Those aren’t super powers though (Admantium skeleton gives a slight strength and durability boost) you can’t turn off skill. Silver Samurai isn’t suddenly going to stop using his Martial Arts and Bushido styles just because.
Like usual reading to much into stuff man, just enjoy the cartoon without worrying about the 22 minute plot.
You can add to this whole mess the new thing about the Adamantium actually slowing down his healing since his body/healing factor actively fights against it since it’s apparently poisonous (which could possibly explain why X-23 seemed to have regrown an arm during her time in X-Factor).
My mistake then. I thought he had cat like agility and animal strength like Sabertooth. It seems weird to me that Wolverine had martial arts training. He just doesn’t seem like that kind of guy. With characters calling him an animal and what not I figured he was just a natural born fighter.
Bendis’ Ultimate Spiderman run has been great IMO.
I agree that the media attention is silly, so that’s the new Spidey, big friggin’ deal. I just hope the stories will be as good as Peter’s era.
Haven’t seen the new Wolverine anime at all but since it’s based on his first limited series they probably touch upon his martial arts training in that.
This aside he’s worked for gorernment agencies in the past. So has Sabretooth. Both of them have had hand to hand combat training whether they wanted or needed it. Standard procedure.
**EDIT: **Oh and regarding the new Ultimate Spider-Man. Not really an Ultimates person, more of a 616 guy which is why I almost never say anything about the Ultimate-verse. I’m up to somewhere on like the fifth Ultimate Spider-Man TPB so there really isn’t much for me to say about the current stuff. With all that said, regarding the new Spider-Man, all I can say is “Oh it looks good!”
Agreed. I’ve enjoyed reading their writing since Annihilation. The “architects” should be DnA, Giffen, Gage & Yost. They are all excellent writers. Yost is kicking ass in the Avengers animated series. DnA made cosmic marvel enjoyable. Gage has made unknown characters enjoyable to read. GIffen created the epic of Annihilation.
What I like about these writers that they dont have “pets” like the “fantastic four”. They know how to use characters from the late 70s and use them well. Shoot DnA have done a better job with Vulcan than Brubaker whom created this “third summers” out of his ass. Once the shiar was let go from the X-books good things started to happen.
BTW kudos to the comic readers on here whom set the record straight about “black spiderman”
Yeah, I really didn’t like what Wolverine’s Civil War tie-in showed about his healing factor’s potency. It really was just ridiculous. Part of me wants to think Marvel addressed Wolverine’s super healing factor in his series. Hmm, maybe Jason Aaron’s series?
Wolverine received a lot of training, not just from the Weapon X program, but from his past time in Japan. His mutant powers would probably be his healing factor and enhanced senses… and, I guess, his bone claws.
As for the new Ultimate Spider-Man, I guess it’s ok. Bendis has done a terrific job with Ultimate Spidey throughout his tenure, so I’m not TOO worried. However, I need to see what makes Miles Morales different from Peter Parker. The last thing I want is for Bendis to tell a story he could’ve told with Peter except with Miles.
Just wanted to talk about DnA for a bit since I’m a fan of their cosmic stuff. While their writing and story development on the cosmic side has been mostly good (Nova lagged in a few arcs and Annihilators wasn’t spectacular), their other books just don’t have the same magic (Heroes for Hire and New Mutants). Maybe it’s because they’re not able to play with all the toys in the sand box? The whole Annihilators vs Avengers thing doesn’t really appeal to me either, so it could be DnA is at their best when they have no boundaries.
