Exactly which origin is he talking about?
Thought of this post when I read this lol! Amazing Spider-Man and X-Men will go same day digital soon.
Sigh I know someone would bring it up eventually but…Loeb’s bringing back Cable-

Art by Ed McG. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but like I said…someone would’ve brought it up eventually.
That’s so awesome. I’m so on it. Thanks for the heads up.
God…FUCK!
Every time a character I sort of like gets announced, FUCKING LOEB AND MICKEY ARE ON IT!!!
I really, really hate that team.
Hearing Loeb is bringing back Cable at ComicCon also disappointed me. I can’t recall a single good property he’s written in the last few years although I must be the crazy one since Rulk sells more than my perceived quality of the series. It’s a bit too soon to be bringing him back anyway. I guess the timing of SDCC was a bit off for Marvel since most of their heavy hitters are in the middle (or just starting) of their stories (Fear Itself, Schism, Children’s Crusade, Spider-Island), so their panels weren’t very exciting and had very little in the way of announcements.
Hey Sano, I saw you making small talk on the UMvC3 uStream the other day after the tournament. Don’t know how you can have a conversation in that chat room! On another note, what do you think is a fair price for same day release Spider-Man / X-Men titles? While I love the digital movement since my room is already filled with boxes of comics, I, so far, haven’t been impressed with the price point the Big Two have been trying to force on us. A slightly reduced price since there’s lower overhead (printing, shipping) would be nice.
IMO, Digitally downloaded comics should cost 1-2 dollars.
Oh and Rulk/Red Hulk ATM is pretty good IMO. One of the upcoming story arcs has Red Hulk on a mission in Iraq and surrondings against a villain called Sultan Magus…that’s a pretty cool name ROFL.
To be fair last year was a lot worse. One time last year like everyone was a troll lol! I only remember one this year who made one comment and left. Sure we didn’t agree on stuff like the usual 'How can you like this game, movie, comic etc…" but it was all good. I was on a lot more last year too, a lot of personal stuff going on kept me away this year. Have to watch most the streams vids online all late like everyone else.
I’m not really certain that it is going to be the same exact thing as when it happened to Spider-Girl (but Spider-Girl got her comics online before they made print) and it will be all inclusive so long as you subscribe to the Marvel Digital Comics or if they will charge seperately for downloads of Spider-Man and X-Men comics. I’m leaning towards the former though.
speaking of Cable.
I JUST read Second Coming. One of the best arc’s I’ve ever read.
And I dislike that they’re bringing back Cable.
edit:
But I do feel like his death in Second Coming should have been more epic. Esp with everything he’s gone through with hope. The other x-member’s death was more on that level.
I don’t really mind Cable coming back as it was only a matter of time and we all knew it (or should’ve). It really all depends on the conclusion and fallout from Schism. Especially with the rumors going around about what could happen. Just don’t mention it in the UMvC3 thread - you’ll have tons of people assuming he’s going to be DLC.
As for digital prices - I don’t mind them. There’s still other expenses (Apple and Comixology’s cut) they have to cover and for me it’s such a better experience that I see it more as a luxury than anything else.
Favorite Marvel book this week was Uncanny X-Force. Orange Hulk on the AoA world! About time that Capcom color swap got into a comic.
Schism was alright but not as good as the first issue. This one felt like filler. Hopefully the next issue puts it back on track.
ASM #666 was cool but felt way too busy, especially considering how good #665 was. I wish the issue really kicked off Spider-Island instead of being a prelude. It seemed like most of the important stuff in this issue could’ve just been included in the first Spider-Island story. I suppose maybe they wanted the #666 issue to stand alone just a bit so that’s possible.
Always nice to see the rarely seen nowadays MJ. Looks like Thing liked MJ and wished Peter and her would work things out. See that’s why I used to play with Orange Hulk back in the day, Capcom’s bootleg way of getting Thing into their games. Only now Orange Hulk is a REAL comic book character! EVERYTHING I KNEW WAS A LIE… :looney:
Orange Hulk sounds PIMP.
What’s with all the different color versions of Hulk? Is that just an uncreative gimmick to get people buy a comic?
Orange Hulk is on like the last page of Uncanny X-Force only and it’s a different universe so at least this one is not a selling point. If he makes next month’s cover then it’s a maybe.
Hey worked for the Lanterns!
Silly Sano, there can only be one Orange Lantern ;3
Good one!
Pretty sure an orange Hulk could kick the crap out of Larfleeze any day.
“Shiny lamp is Hulk’s now! HULK STRONGEST THERE IS!!”
Killing time in a comic book store today and I read the Ghost Rider .1 issue. I enjoyed it so much I got the Ghost Rider #1 issue too and read that on the way home. Good fun and lots of action! I’ll be there for the second issue.

I was watching an episode of Wolverine and the X-men and he had to fight Silver Samurai in a sword fight, but they weren’t allowed to use their powers. I was wondering how that would be possible since Wolverine can’t turn off his powers (minus the claws) at will.
They probably just meant for him not to pop his claws. He has bone claws underneath the adamantium so not using his claws is not using his powers.
As for his healing factor, no one in comics agrees how weak or strong it is but I’ve never seen him heal up from being a skeleton in animation like I have in comics. A throat slit deep enough or gutting him would probably do Wolverine in on the show just like older comics eluded too. So Silver Samurai probably had a fair shot at winning in that episode.
Just a guestimate. How you are supposed to measure his healing factor in a medium, American TV animation that shys away from showing blood is beyond me…
It probably works the same way it does in the movies give or take. Minus X3. Dark Phoenix would evaporate the guy. Stupid movie…
An adamantium bullet wouldn’t do squat either…
In the '90s cartoon frying off his flesh would kill Wolverine. Days of Future Past scenario. This was very subtle but in one of the future episodes Forge had Wolverine’s adamantium skeleton that you could see in the background. In the Days of Future Past comics a Sentinel killed him with a laser blast that covered his entire body.
