If you have been budgeting for comics, you should consider subscribing (~40% off cover price). I agree that the $3.99 price is killer, but I don’t think Marvel is going to budge.

I believe the issue is called “the last stand of Johnny Storm.” I don’t know if you were following the “Three” storyline, but Johnny was with Ben and the Think Tank or Brain group. Someone had to stay behind in the negative Zone in order to stop an annihilation wave from getting through into the Earth. Ben offered, but Johnny pushed him back through the gate, and locked himself, and the annihilation wave, out.
MY issue is that you don’t ACTUALLY see Johnny die. You see him surrounded by all these “bug” people, but no blood drawm, or anything like that.

Glad to hear that Black Panther is finally going to get made because black super heroes don’t get as much exposure compared to others. The last one was Steel and you all know how that one was. I’m a bit skeptical since there are so many other Marvel movies that are supposed to be made and I don’t want Black Panther to be of poor quality because they might be more concerned with quantity than quality.
After Avengers we have Runaways, X-Men 1st Class, Deadpool, two more Spider-man films, Iron Man 3, possibly another F4, and Ant man. This Black Panther film might not come out til 2014.

Lol. I definitely feel the latest uncanny x-force made up for (in my opinion) tepid previous issues. Wrapped up the story nicely. Re: Fantomex, I’m glad they could have a dark story like U X-force, and then a light-hearted story like in the second issue of Serve and Protect.
I like X-Force and all but I feel as if Fantomex is solving every problem for the team. How do we travel through space: Fantomex. How do we defeat the fours horseman: Fantomex. I would have preferred if Psylocke just killed the kid before they got there.
The art is great and I hope they continue with these three issue story arcs. I like that format.
Gotta admit I was surprised by X-Force’s ending, I thought it was going to go a different way until the last few pages. Ditto for X-23’s cliffhanger. :wow:
Oh and Age of X Alpha was the sex… um… errr… alpha! LOL off to a great start. Age of X Cyke is just as bad ass as current Cyke, but with more killing heh heh!
I enjoyed adjectiveless X-Men for like the first time since the book started. Probably because of Spider-Man showing up. :lol:
Fun stuff with the Avengers books too. I see Bendis’ prose stories in the back of the book are up to the Kree / Skrull war. I wonder what the heck is he going to talk about after that.
