Don’t think so but lol Warner Bros. owns Cartoon Network and DC so they have put out all of the CN comics.
And hell no I wouldn’t buy it. I could go for a Samurai Jack comic though, but AFAIK they don’t make CN comics of shows that are in reruns. The one based on the Teen Titans cartoon lasted the longest until they decided to ax it only because the show was off the air for about a year already.
EDIT: Yeah after some online checking I see that there has been Powerpuff Girls comics. Google for more info.
Scared to see someone catching you reading it in public eh? That’s okay, I pretended like I didn’t watch it back in elementary school. They made a TT comic that reflected the show? Why? I would like to see some closure to Samurai Jack. Saw the last episode on Boomerang and it was about a baby he saved. He never got his final showdown and chance to go home, before that they would have to give him his rematch with the blue black guy.
LOL shortened / edited my original post, but to be perfectly honest I never cared for that show. I read Darkwing Duck comics on the train and comics on treadmills at the gym so I’m way beyond being embarrassed about that sort of thing, I honestly don’t give a damn. I just never cared for the character designs, animation style or subject matter. Dexter’s Laboratory and Samurai Jack are the only Tartovsky shows I’ve liked. Hated his Clone Wars with a passion.
What’s funny is that my brother’s wife likes Powerpuff Girls and she barely watches TV or movies. She’s one of those people that if you mention the Godfather movie she won’t know what you’re talking about. Go fig.
They made a comic based on the TT cartoon to make money lol why else. It was very popular and outlasted the TV series. They got to do a lot of things the cartoon couldn’t do for legal reasons like use Wonder Girl. They also gave Terra’s story more closure, showed Robin’s origin story and had Batman show up at the end. They never touched bringing down Slade or Red X’s identity because they felt those are things that should be resolved by Murakami / the cartoon if at all.
Anyway there are Powerpuff Girls comics, hit up Ebay or something.
Saw Carol on the Avengers cartoon just now going through her Ms. Marvel origin story. Cool.
Oh shit a new Hulk show! Just have him named Bruce Banner and have Hulk be CGI with amazing fight scenes and I’d be a religious devout.
C&D could be pretty interesting, I’d cop it. Twilight writer + Jessica Jones…meh, not really my bag personally, but cool she is getting attention. I hope all these television ventures do well honestly, I’d like to see Marvel expand.
Bagley is coming back to do artwork for Ultimate Spider-Man. I’m not sure how I feel about that. I kind of like Pichelli’s work but didn’t get to see enough of it. Fuck LaFuente though. Immonem is probably the best to have been on the book.
Speaking of art, Jerome Opena is my favorite artist right now. His work on Uncanny X-men is nothing short of being visual saccharinity.
Anyway, how does everyone feel about Odin being back? I didn’t think it’d be that easy of a resurrection for one thing. I like the art in the Thor books right now quite a bit as well. Now that I think about it, Thor books have consistently had artists that don’t disappoint.
The writer also wrote for Dexter so yeah, it might be really good.
And I’m pretty glad that Bagley is coming back since the book always felt weird without him, but I’ve been digging Immonen’s work more and more these days.
Personally, I would really love to see Ryan Ottley do some Ultimate Spider-Man. I think his art has the perfect tone for the series although he could be better at facial diversity. He’s already done some sketches of an adult Spider-Man, but I’d like to see his take on a younger version.
If I were take a guess then probably in a few weeks or so since the next issue comes out in January.
Super excited about Mike Carey writing Thor in Wolves of the North this week!
Oh everyone check their LCS to see if they are giving out the FREE 2011 Marvel Calendar this Wednesday. I have the free one for 2010. It’s really cool. Especially since I didn’t pay for it.
Actuly its not going to be CGI but a mixture of prosthetics, puppetry and CGI from Guillermo Del Torro and David Eick the executive producer of BSG
so yeah get hype
I was a big fan of Incredible Hulk from Planet Hulk and on. Probably the only bit of my comics im not going to sell. Though unfortunately I have to get rid of the rest of my stuff since I cant afford it anymore.
P.S if anyone is interested. I made a sale thread for most of my variants and newer stuff (most of my stuff is hulk so its not too much posted in there) Willing to work with anyone on pricing and such. Let me know!
Black Panther was actually pretty good, yeah it’s odd that they went with BP but the explanation made sense. And it’s goddamn nice to see him being written by someone not named Reginald “I hate white people” Hudlin.
