“Denys” Cowan. And don’t forget about TYRESE, baby! TYRESE. He created that awesome indie comic sensation Mayhem. TYRESE!
Deadpool’s not really a Mutant. He’s a normal guy who’s DNA was hacked and now he has Mutant DNA. Which would explain Sinister’s confusion in the example you provided.
Well maybe because Sinister is not a Mutant either and has gone through simillar experimentation to get his powers so, wouldn’t he know if a factory made Mutant could eat that food? You should probably chalk the above to an editor asleep at the wheel. Oh wait, you said House of M that horrible crossover. That explains a lot… :badboy: LOL well maybe DP wants to be a Mutant deep down and Scarlet Witch granted his wish in HOM land. Whatever happened in HOM Land with character reveals and so forth has no bearing on 616. Alternate Universes.
In the Marvel Universe if you are not born with the Mutant gene then you are not a Mutant. Otherwise you’d have to call characters like Spider-Man and Hulk Mutants when they are not.
Marvel officially states that he’s not a Mutant all over the place. Some people try to make the argument that he is but until Marvel changes their stance on it or changes their definition of what a Mutant is he’s not a ‘MUTIE!’
Since X-Force right now is not connected to the X-Men and working in secret IE Cyclops doesn’t know they are still operating after Second Coming I’d say Deadpool’s not an X-Man right now. Just an X-Force member. Cyke can probably reach out to DP if he needs his help on an X-Men mission though.
Hmm… i was thinking of that same thing you said here, Sano. I’m not ruling that Deadpool isn’t a Mutant, but i do have a small feeling that Marvel did what they did to Juggernaut (I haven’t seen the 616 Juggs in some time now, so i don’t know if they Altred 616 Juggs, because all’s i know is that juggs was a mutant in the other versions…). I could be wrong, but around the end of the second coming, when Wolvie, Cable, x-23, and Angel went to the future. There was a wall that was covered with the pictures of all the mutants executed, and i think (note, i could be terribly mistaken) deadpool’s pic was on that wall.
Am I the only one reading Jeff Parker’s Red Hulk run? It’s been pretty fun so far.
The last two have been pretty solid. I especially liked the part with Thor.
If you read what I typed out, I never said I liked Gambit, just the best thing to come out of it. So the rant was rather unnecessary but cool story bro nonetheless.
I’m sorry that having an opinion on the internet is a bad idea, I’ll refrain from doing so in the future in a Marvel Comics Discussion thread then.
@Akuma and Tizoc: Spider-Woman doesn’t bug me to much anymore, but it’s just his progression of doing this. Luke Cage? Granted he had a respected mini before his New Avengers stint, but his popularity really shot up due to his inclusion. Iron Fist? I love Iron Fist, but what had he done since New Avengers really, only thing that comes to mind was an Exiles story with a parallel version of him.
Iron Fist and Luke Cage are awesome though so, I’m just waiting for a new OG Heroes for Hire mini.
Main offender for me was Mockingbird, I never saw much of a point to her and she doesn’t bring anything interesting to the table, but well…here she is. I haven’t checked out Hawkeye/Mockingbird yet so maybe that brings her in a good light.
If he brings back ROM the Space Knight though I’d have to thank him, and I really hate Bendis with a biased passion (Not real reason to hate him, it’s just the cool thing to do and he is bald.)
My guess is his picture was there based on his affiliation with X-People and I’m sure joe average or Mutant hunting Sentinels wouldn’t know the difference since they probably search for Mutant DNA anyway. Juggernaut joined the X-Men for a time and later Excalibur but he was never made a Mutant in 616.
Wow. Maybe it is a good idea to keep your opinions off the internet if you’re going to act like this when someone comments on them.
Hmm, on further inspection that seemed a lot more rude than I thought it did honestly (Was going for cutesy anger, never really works on said internet). So I apologize for my comment mIRC.
Mike Carey writing a Thor for a one shot called Wolves of the North? HELL YES! :clapdos: Some info on the upcoming X-Men video game he’s writing too!
Carey Looks To Marvel U’s Past and Future - Comic Book Resources
Just found out a new Incognito is coming out tomorrow. Instant hype.
hype hype hype
Anyways, i’m really liking the whole new X-force arc right now, can’t wait for it to progress. I really like the rooster, especially Angel now. I think Marvel really did a good job in enhancing Angel, because before Messiah Complex, that guy, IMO, was the corniest original character in the whole series. It’s great that he can shift into Arch angel, who i thought was seriously bad ass during the Necrosha Arc.
What i want from Marvel is for them to tune up rogue again.
INCOGNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITO!!!111
Fuck Deadpool!!!
? What do you mean by that?
Incognito was on hiatus?
I mean, Rogue having additional abilities instead of the power absorption.
I don’t mean to be rude or anything and right off the bat I’m going to apologize if I sound that way. Truth be told I am probably the most irrational fan boy out there. Shuma-Gorath in some Capcom games = AWESOME CHARACTER IMHO. :looney: So I really am in no position to really throw stones here.
Even so, this is pretty much a golden era for Rogue right now. She is the star of X-Men Legacy so for the time being she has her own comic on the low.
That and she is being written by Mike Carey, a writer so good he was tapped to write the next X-Men video game and not Matt Fraction who is writing the freaking flagship title, Uncanny X-Men. Ask anybody who reads both Uncanny X-Men and X-Men Legacy on a monthly basis and I will give you some imaginary rep if anyone says Uncanny.
I’d give you five dollars but this economy freaking sucks so I can’t make any wagers like that right now.
I ask you to please re-examine why you like Rogue. Is it because of a power set she had for what, 2-3 years only in her entire existence and the time she had that you probably feel she can kick anyone’s ass or was just crazy powerful? I honestly think that’s not a good reason to like any character. Someone somewhere is going to invent some character that will kick your character’s ass. In fact there’s already a few at Marvel that would destroy her no matter what her powers were. Once again, if this is not where you are coming from I apologize because fans will be fans for any number of reasons. And if it is where you are coming from I mean no offense in that regard either.
Look at this way, Mike Carey won’t write X-Men Legacy forever. For all we know Chuck Austen or Jud THE DUD Winnick will take over the book when he leaves and give Rogue all of the powers you are wishing for. And it will be one of the worst comics of all time.
I’d really just hate for you to be missing out on such great stories with the character. Or maybe you are reading Legacy but are not fully enjoying them because you are hung up on Rogue’s current power set which is bound to change in a few years anyway.
Please try and overlook this one aspect of the character and enjoy the ride for however long it lasts.
Huge BRU WEEK
