I really need to catch up on Captain America, think the last issue I have is where Sharon got kidnapped by Arnim Zola and Red Skull in the one Dictator’s body and Bucky was looking for information regarding Steve. Yeah so, a long ass time ago.
nice stuff there, there are allot of things you are right about here, mainly though - i enjoy X-men lagacy and i really like the whole leader-ish position rogue has been getting. I think the character is actually the most popular female marvel character… but yes, i am disappointed in the whole power change she got. Eve though she is seen using random powers, it was the whole 90’s rogue that got me into the character. It was one of the big factors. Seeing her trash talk like some red neck, then lifting huge rocks and tossing them on random bitches, throwing other guys with one hand… was the cause of my favoritism. I guess the great part of Rogue now (ability wise) is that you do see her perform different things, therefore it’s always new. However i want the whole enhanced strength back. Maybe a storyline where she does something for Tony stark’s and he like gives her a suit that allows her to fly and increase her strength or something. It’s just like Marvel erased that whole old feature of Rogue to replicate the Anna Pacquin Rogue.
I see, didn’t really get that you were taliking more about that power set for some reason. Yeah she had that set for a lot of years lol! Makes your point more valid I guess. Still her powers are bound to change again at some point.
Popularity wavers but every fan poll I’ve seen for Marvel females in recent years Emma Frost beats the crap out of everybody.
For Marvel their top female or ‘Wonder Woman’ variant has been Storm for a lot of years but it’s difficult to say right now. Some would argue Ms. Marvel or She-Hulk, maybe Emma too. There’s always been a case for Invisible Woman as well.
Me I like Rogue more than all of the above personally. Still I’m more of a fan of Psylocke, Mary Jane and Mayday Parker Spider-Girl nowadays. But yeah when Rogue joined X-Men back in the 80s the book became a lot more interesting. I’m glad that she’s getting so much attention ln X-Men Legacy right now.
Shweeeet, got my hands on an original Daken #1 (Forgot the actual name of the comic, der moment) issue (Not the reprint) to finally see what happened here before #2, the little catch me up in the back was pretty cool, since I more or less dropped him after Dark Wolverine #3 (Third issue he was featured in, not the actual numbering).
Also got Secret Avengers #4, haven’t read it yet but I saw Shang-Chi and ninjas which means it’s already A+ material for me.
Shang-Chi is pretty great in SA #6, his little boost in the past few years is nice, since he was largely unused since his 70’s comic. I’d like him to be the replacement member for Nova, but I have a feeling that slot will be an ever-rotating one, where when they are presented with a problem they just nab someone who has experience with similar situations/enemies.
Ending spoiler was nice though, I like the direction this story is going.
The final installment of The Thanos Imperative is coming out this week
This event was marvel best event in a long long looong time, and i realy think the final issue will be just as good as the rest
Fuck yes, G.I. Gorilla was awesome! Did you like that half-assed marketing on the recap page?
Also, I should thank you for convincing me to stick with Jeff Parker’s Thunderbolts. It’s pretty funny, because I thought it wouldn’t be able to measure up to Diggle’s run, when in reality, it’s turned out to be far superior in every sense. Honestly, it’s my favorite Marvel title right now.
I haven’t been keeping up with it, but I’m about to borrow a stack of TRADES, BABY from one of my buddies. I think he’s got the Christos Gage arc and the Diggle run. From what I know about Jeff Parker and what I’ve heard about his Thunderbolts, it sounds like fun stuff. I’ve flipped through issues of it and I like what I’ve seen. I only wish the artist didn’t change Songbird’s hair…
I’ve been following it since SI and reading Ellis’ short run. The art is hit or miss for me, but Man-Thing, Moonstone (MAI WAIFU) and Ghost are my fav. characters on the team ATM.
Yeah Wonder Man origin lol! MODOK was in the hizouse! Only just like Iron Man Armored Adventures they said he was designed for conquest and not for killing. Marvel no one asked either way so stop saying that in cartoons! Freaking M.O.D.O.C.
