16 pages of fighting with Coipiel’s art would be cool. Although that Seige promo poster looks weird with Cap’s shield looking like a 12 inch disc.
Fuck, I’m so out of touch with comics I don’t even know half those guys hitting Thor. As far as I know it was, brown lady, pink dude and Dark Avengers.
That seems to be the main reason why WWH is liked by readers, and I ain’t got a problem with it. The ending however disappointed me…but hey we got Incredible Hercules out of it!
lol, come on man I don’t think Ironman could ever take Thor in the state he was in early in the Thor series, heck Thor would own Stark’s ass for free ANY TIME ANY DAY, if there was gonna be a 10-16 page fight between them, it’d prob. be Tony avoiding getting hit by Thor while thinking of a way to severely damage him.
EDIT: Heck issue #2 will prob. have Thor getting up barely scarred and ask ‘Is that all you’ve got?’ then hammer away at Sentry and Ares:rofl:
Man you got me more interested in rereading WWH, thanks. XD
Eh relax the series will overall be enjoyable for you in the long run…I think…
…but what’s this about Loeb and WWH? Let me know so that I may avoid it as well.
Oh and I rather enjoy most of the comics I read; Avengers Initiative 31 for example was pretty cool and Tasky’s gone up in my list of fav. Marvel characters. I’m thinking of rereading INitiative from when he joined now as well.
Anyone else read Embedded? I like that Volstagg isn’t depressed about the explosion in the stadium and is willing to help his brethren with the help of Urich and his cameraman. Heck they should just call this Siege: The Roadtrip after how it finished
Loeb and Pak are both writing World War Hulks, the next big Hulk event. I just hope I can read the Pak issues without having to pick up the Loeb issues to follow along.
I flipped through Siege Embedded in store and put it back. :wonder: Too much Volstagg. :wasted:
Even though it isn’t true. Iron Man has Hulkbuster armor and is one of the smartest people on the planet but there’s no way he could take Thor? Yeah okay. Rolls eyes.
Now that he’s gone far far away from Marvel Comics yeah he’s alright with me. Now all they need to do is get rid of Big Mouth Bendis and Joeq and Marvel will finally be able to return to its former glory.
Ah I like slugfests too but it was so clear from the get go that anything that happened in WWH would have zero to little effect. It was meaningless. Not to mention the hella rushed art from JRJR, just disgusting to look at.
But you know, I also dug the X-Men tie in, I found that way more fun.
I also hated Hulks son being retconned alive, so dumb. Oh and they made the Hulk title into a herc title and put loeb on some terrible hulk series.
On JRJR, it wasn’t his style that I had a problem with, I mean I knew he was involved from the start but the art just seemed really rushed. I really dig JRJR on kick ass, but not much else.
Well when Planet Hulk ended it was implied he lost his wife and child. I think in WWH #5 (which was published a long times after Planet Hulk ended) they gave some explanation for his son surviving. Whatever, I didn’t like that.
And on Herc, I personally stay away from any books revolving around the “god” type characters (personal reasons). But aside from that why bump Hulk off of his own book and give him to Loeb of all people. Red Hulk my ass lol.
It looks like a combination of his Extremis armor that Norman now has possession of & he still hasn’t figured out how to use it,other than that it’s bad-ass.
