Seemed like it was less the beginning of an event and more the middle.
I haven’t been following all the build-up to it.

The art’s good, but his layouts are bad on some pages. Tough to follow.
The extra in the back had a misprint and repeated a page.
Could’ve been better and maybe the next 3 issues will save it.

And people ask me why I love World War Hulk. People getting punched in the face for 16 pages is cool.
This issue they should’ve encountered Thor. Next issue either all or most of the issue should’ve been dedicated to them taking down Thor. I mean… IT’S THOR!!! Sure you have Sentry and Ares, but come on man this fight was more disappointing than Superman taking Thor down in 2 seconds in Avengers/JLA.

LOL I liked it better than Planet Hulk. Hulk beating up people I know > Beating up a bunch of strangers and Silver Surfer getting PUNKED for the one billionth. Fighting Iron Man for like 16 pages and punching Sentry out until they both turned back to puny humans was awesome! Even WWH X-Men was dope, Hulking owning Juggernaut for free! Hell Vegeta tried to read World War Hulk and said “IT’S OVER 9,000!” and that joint blew up his scanner. :wgrin:
What can I say. I like slugfests. :tup: People saying the Thor vs. Iron Man fight was better made me scratch my head. Still does. Hulk and Iron Man FOUGHT for a bunch of pages. 16 PAGE FIGHT!!! Meanwhile Thor and Iron Man fought for what… Maybe a page and Thor talked to Iron Man.

I don’t buy comics to complain about them. I generally like Bendis’ most of the time. Was hoping it would start off with a bang, bur for me it didn’t. Hell I’m not touching Loeb’s World War Hulks issues with a 10 foot pole. :arazz:
