Art is more important than story seeing as how it’s called a comic book and not a book comic. If the comic has a good story fine but if the artworks sucks then I don’t care.
Not like it matters anyway though. Comics are pretty much dead. They’re just around to bide the time until the story (which lasts way too long) finishes and then Joeq can go ahead and sell the Trade Paperback.
Well if you just stick to major MU stuff then yes, comics are dead.
But there is a lot of good stuff being written that takes place on the sidelines. Not to mention books from other publishers and imprints.

I never said anything negative about the Thor artwork. As a matter of fact it was that artwork that kept me reading that garbage when it was written by the previous writer. The artists made me think wow wouldn’t it be so cool if these guys weren’t just standing around and talking? Thor 600 and the one where he beat up Iron Man are the only comics where the good artwork wasn’t completely wasted.
I agree with this. I didn’t much care for Brubaker’s Xmen but some people just aren’t meant to write superhero comics like that like Bendis and the Avengers.
