P.S. Bendis never completes his sentences in cussing he tries go either DA HELL or DA FUCK! Instead of “what the hell” or “what the fuck?”
I wonder if he got that from the director (ya IDK his name for shit) who’s known to do that in his movies. That director says he does it for “to be in the moment of the character???” idk or something like that.
That Thor preview looks pretty cool. It looks like it’ll be a nice read once they make the TPB. Those colors are pretty striking, too. They did a great job with that lightning.
I don’t think Iron Man’s an asshole. At least, not to the degree that Batman was over the past couple years. What they’re doing with Iron Man is fascinating to me. He’s not a villain but his hero status is in question because now he’s more of an authority figure. And what with all that Extremis stuff in his bloodstream and all his technology, he’s sort of Marvel’s new Big Brother figure.
I should have put him on my football team. With all those satellites in space he’d have a magnificent view of the entire field.
Well I just got finished reading the latest Black Panther and well I’m completely done with the whole Marvel Zombie arc now, I think they should put this one to bed because I don’t really anymore interest in this arc after this last issue.
Got Avengers the Initiative #5 and its Official:
Trauma and Cloud 9 are the shit
Avengers The Initiative
[details=Spoiler] First we have Trauma goin to town on the rock guy from Hulks Warbound by transforming into Thor. Dude nearly shit himself seeing Thor right in front of him. Then we got Cloud 9 suffocating the lone warbound chick with her clouds and damn near killing him.
Then we have Trauma goin toe to toe with the Hulk. Pretty satisfied with the fight overall with Trauma transforming into different people.
Still would like to know who the Mutant X person is plus who’s the people in the Scarlet Spider suits.[/details]
Did anyone get that old school Thunderbolts vibe from reading this issue especially with the way this team operated?
I’ve been getting Requiem but I just didn’t have time to go to the store this week. So I haven’t gotten the last issue yet. I’ve really been enjoying it, though. It’s the best Surfer story I have read in years.
I still can’t believe I bought the first 10 issues of his previous series before I finally gave up. Man, I was stupid back then. Relatively speaking.
I’ll agree with you. The marvel zombies arc in Black Panther was a bit on the boring side. I mean storm did her thing and panther always have something up his sleeve but it was just blah to me.
Went back to my comic shop. Hadn’t been there in almost a year. I picked up Senssational Spider-Man Annual #1 and Spider-Man: One More Day Sketch Book. I Heard SSMA was supposed to be pretty good so I picked it up. Superb artwork. SM: OMD has some awesome sketches. But they better not eff this up by killing Aunt May and having Peter and MJ get a divorce. If this happens I’m going to track down Joe Q and anyone else that had a hand in these events and have their heads. Joe Q’s head, specifically, will be my new golf ball and I’ll take that sucker to the driving range everyday!!
sano, what’d you think of Spidey beating the crap outta King Pin and getting flawless vicotry in ASM # 542?
I just read the latest issue of Wolverine. The one by Jason Aaron and Howard Chaykin (haha, where you at, Painy?!). That was a damn fine comic. That’s a perfect example of why Wolverine is such an engaging character when he’s so freakin’ mysterious. Why the hell was he at the bottom of a pit where armed guards constantly monitored him and riddled him with bullets from a minigun? I have no idea, but I don’t really care. That might’ve been the best Wolverine comic I have read since that Mark Millar/Kaare Andrews WWII issue. This was even better than the David Lapham one-shot.
Jason Aaron has got it going on. After The Other Side and Scalped from Vertigo and this Wolverine comic, he is for sure a talented dude to keep an eye on.
So for those have been reading SS: Requiem, was it actually good. I had considered picking it up but after glancing through the second issue or so (something to do with Spiderman) I just put off plans to follow it.
how is iron man even in a position to get his ass beat? i mean, hulk just wicked owned his face (but i mean hulk wicked owned the entire MU’s face). not to mention…
i really wanna start buying wolverine. especially since gugs is back on the title. but i’m going to have to pass because of chaykin’s horrid art. we go from wolvering with craptastic writing by loeb, to wolverine with craptastic pencils by chaykin
