I still see them keeping both of them as Captain America. I still like the idea of Steve taking over S.H.I.E.L.D.
I can see that happening also.Steve gets filled in over everything that’s been going on & runs a new version of S.H.I.E.L.D. Bucky deserves to be Cap & should be named leader of the New Avengers
X-Men, Fantastic Four, Deadpool and Black Panther try to jump Doctor Doom in Doomwar, a 2010 miniseries.
newest issue of New avengers was pretty good. Never cared for the wreaking crew but i really liked em in that issue.
The wrecking crew was built up to have a lot of potential at the start of New Avengers. It’s a shame the went the different route and didn’t hunt them all down. COuld have seen some cool stories.

Doctor Doom is one of the better reasons to read comic books. His character has never and will never change. He’s a raving sociopath with actual power. People like that. It’s why the watch Dexter.

Reports on minies coming in 2010 like Seige (Cap, Iron Man and Thor BFFs again) and Doomwar (Deadpool, FF, X-Men, Black Panther and Black Panther 2.0 gang up against Doctor Doom). Those are the maior announcements that spring to mind.

The wacky fantastic comic stylings of everybody’s favourite merc with a mouth versus Doctor Doom! How can this not be retarded and goofy and gimmicky in all the ways that would absolutely enhance any serious Doctor Doom story?
At their cores, those are what all good Doctor Doom stories are about. Madcap slapstick comic book humour. Triumph & Torment? Hi-larious book! And I think Emporer Doom won the Eisner for best humour publication, no?
If this lives up to the high standard of storytelling that the classic Squrriel Girl vs. Doctor Doom fight way back…then I think we got a winner on our hands.
He’s so unpredictable! How can a master planner like Doctor Doom predict the unpredictableness of Deadpool!?! He can’t! That is why this is going to be awesome!
There were some pretty cool moments with Doom in the first few issues of Dark Avengers. Ditto for when the Cabal was first created. He wasn’t the main villain during either of those times though, it was still Norman’s world.
I just hope that during Doomwar someone at Marvel actually remembers that Doom used to be (arguably should still be) in love with Storm. It would enhance this story soooo much. But that seems to have been forgotten the second Hudlin typed “Doctor Doom” in Black Panther’s comic… :bluu:
