Here’s my pitch for a new 2011 mini-series called Thanoswar…which includes a brawl with street level hero Luke Cage where he takes the Infinity Gauntlet and bitchslaps Thanos with it. And then Matt Murdock has to defend Thanos in an American court of law (because even Eternals deserve due process and justice, DAMMIT), which leaves Iron Fist in the middle unsure of whose side to take, and also leaving him the sole defender of the planet against Galactus’ return to Earth.
Or is that too simliar to Dan Slott’s She-Hulk run?

What do you mean by crossover exactly? I don’t really think of storylines like Secret Invasion, Civil War, Annihilation, and War of Kings to be crossovers since you only had to read the one series.
When I think of crossovers I think of Messiah Complex, X-Tinction Agenda, Maximum Carnage. Stories like that. Outside of the Messiah Complex Marvel hasn’t really had a lot of huge crossovers as I remember them in recent years. That’s more of 90’s type thing. They’ve mainly been small stuff like Utopia, the one with X-Force and Cable the name of which I can’t remember right now and one with Spider-Man.
What makes the Marvel Universe so great is how everything and everyone is intertwined so a good writer could make a feasible story with Thor and Spider-Man and Deadpool. If anything there’s a little too much segregation going on with Marvel characters and I kind of think that needs to change.

Messiah War (X-Force, Cable) and The Other (Spider-Man books).
It is true that Marvel has been crafting crossovers the last few years in such a way that you can read whatever book you want to read and you are not forced to read anything else. Just follow the stories / characters / books / writers / authors etc. you like and ignore everything else.
Worst example of Marvel crossover craziness had to be Secret Wars II. After the first issue, it went “Read ASM, Thor, Fantastic Four and then come back for Secret Wars II issue 2!” And then you picked up issue 2 you got a ton of yellow boxes that said “This happened in ASM; This happened in Thor; This happened in Fantastic Four; etc.” That was INSANE. Arguably comics were only about 75 cents back then.

Who’s Ross? Alex Ross works mostly with DC Comics. Luke Ross is another artist.

Uncanny X-Men 516 is the best X-Men comic that I’ve read in a very long time. It was mid 80’s Chris Claremont X-Men good. Matt Fraction has something here with this Nation X storyline. If he doesn’t blow it has the potential to become one of the greatest X-Men stories ever.
Still dead. Norman does have a human sized canister marked “G. Stacy” so beware… I think it’s Gabriel Stacy though, that boy Norman had with Gwen and he could’ve been toying with Lily when he said that the child is his ‘only son now’ (Harry doesn’t count to him now after American Son. Both JQ and Wacker stress Sins Past still happened BTW). Or any one of the Gwen Stacy clones running around. JQ is pretty dead set against bringing Gwen Stacy back. Not that I’d be shocked if they did.
It was an awesome issue. Hella nice to see Fraction call Magneto Max Eisenhardt, his birth name given in Magneto Testement in one of those little boxes. All around good to see Magneto back.
