He sold him out.
Liefeld walks in mysterious ways. No seriously i think Liefeld is Jesus, it would explain why companies keep hiring him.

To who? Why?
if i remember correctly it was to the feds or something, they als gave a bodycount in that issue. Said he had killed over 900 mobsters. Again my memory is pretty vague since its been ages ago i read it.
illuminati was so fucking funny, i loved it. probably my fav comic of the month that i’ve read thus far.
Yeah, Illuminati was great. That whole scene at the beginning (“Clea left me…”) was money. The cover was really nice, too. I like covers like that- even though most of the characters don’t really appear in the comic, there’s still a reason why they are on the cover. And Jimmy Cheung’s art was something else. He really captured JG Jones’ designs and made Noh-Varr look deadly and a little crazy, despite what the Illuminati were doing.
Marvel should reprint the Marvel Boy TPB so more people can enjoy it. Make it a Premiere Edition HC like they just did for The Hood.
It was worth it just to see Black Bolt make a joke.
New Avengers Illuminati - Yeah I agree it was pretty funny!
Spider-Man Red Sonja - Fun! Only I didn’t see Shuma-Gorath yet sheesh what are they waiting for Kulan Gath the main enemy ressurected him once, and it’s already been a whole issue maaaan… :looney:
World War Hulk 3 - Gotta love the beatdowns!
Uncanny X-Men - Always good to see Storm with the X-Men again.
The all HOM refernce in illumaniti was cool, when Ironman told Xavier to get inside marvel boy mind and change it and Xavier said that if he would do that the mutant race will rule
Didnt like endangerd spiecies (xfactor 22) though
So I’m reading Ultimate Spiderman, and I’m loving it so far. I didn’t like the idea of reinventing the whole spiderman storyline, but its working out very well. Ultimate Rhino isn’t as lame as he used to be.
Yup, gotta love Ultimate Spider-Man. That comic is never a letdown. Nope.
Wow, New Avengers was pretty great again this week. I love how everything’s building up to something crazy. And I love how the story’s getting hardcore with the grimy villains like BKV’s Parker Robbins. Looks like the story’s starting to intertwine with Mighty Avengers, but I didn’t even feel like I was missing out on anything despite the fact that I haven’t read more than the first two issues of MA. I can live with or without all the Planet Hulk stuff- but Illuminati and New Avengers just excite me every time I read 'em.
And how about Daredevil? The cliffhanger is absurd. Best superhero comic on the stands, gotta be. I love how Brubaker’s busting out vintage DD villains. So far each of his storyarcs have revamped a previously lame/forgotten villain. Mad props to the BRU for paying respect to the creators of yesteryear while doing something fresh. Brubaker’s so awesome.
is the marvel boy in the morrison mini the same one who was in agents of atlas?
and who the f was the marvel boy in new warriors, then?
Ultimate Spider-man is the only monthly ultimate book worth reading IMO. The whole run been very good.
Marvel Boy(Morrison’s) is different from the other one. The other one has been around a long time. While Marvel Boy in New Warriors was Justice, I think.
Nah, the Marvel Boy in Morrison/Jones’ MK miniseries is a new character. (By the way, how’s Agents of Atlas?) Morrison’s Marvel Boy is also known as Noh-Varr. He’s a Kree warrior from an alternate reality who crashlanded in the 616. A crazy megalomaniac killed all of Noh-Varr’s companions in an attempt to basically steal some cosmic/gamma rays and gain superpowers. Noh-Varr gets pissed. That’s basically the premise of the MK Marvel Boy book. Totally worth reading. I believe Noh-Varr also played a key role in Civil War: Young Avengers/Runaways, but I haven’t read it. My friend has it, and he said it wasn’t too good, but I’ll probably borrow it from him one of these days.
The Marvel Boy in the '90s New Warriors is just a mutant hero who has telekinesis (and maybe telepathy as well- you can check wiki or something for confirmation). He changed his name somewhere along the line and has been going by the name “Justice” for the past several years. I think his real name is Vince or Vance something or other. Used to have a thing with Firestar. Both of them were actually members of the Avengers during the Busiek/Perez run. Lately, I’ve seen this Justice character in the Avengers: The Initiative series by Dan Slott.
In X-Factor, Rictor’s been bitching about losing his powers, and in the latest issue (22), after Rahne practically rapes him in the gym and tears his shirt, you can see what look like Terragen crystals growing along his spine…what the hell’s goin’ on?
Welp it’s official Millar and Hitch are doin Fantastic Four -> http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.1387.WW_Chicago_2007%3A_Millar_and_Hitch_Fantastic_Four?utm_campaign=front+page+tracking&utm_source=main+graphic&utm_medium=big+graphic+link&utm_content=%2Fnews%2Fcomicstories.1387.WW_Chicago_2007%3A_Millar_and_Hitch_Fantastic_Four
Out of all the new titles spawned out of Civil War (Thunderbolts, Heroes for Hire, etc), which ones are actually worth reading?
thunderbotls
new warriors
every single book written by brubaker
Yeah Captain America has been one of the best comics to read after Civil War. Who else can write Captain America with Captain America not in the book and still make it entertaining? Bru is the man.
Top of the mound: Captain America, Thunderbolts, Both Avengers books, Immortal Iron Fist (if you consider it spun out of CW, it was released around that time)
Good with growing potential: Avengers: Intiative, New Warriors and The Order
Solid: Fantastic Four, Ms. Marvel, Iron Man, Punisher: War Journal, Heroes for Hire
Crap: Amazing Spider-Man (Seriously was the weakest of all the Back in Black tie ins),
I don’t know about that Amazing Spider-Man, Welly. I like it a lot. To me it’s a lot more interesting than the other Spider-Books. It’s more intense and the story flows pretty organically from the Amazing Spider-Man: Civil War tie-in story.
