How long is this Dark Reign foolishness supposed to last? I’m tired of seeing that logo on more comics every single month. It’s like some virus that spreads rapidly infecting everything around it.
Professor X sent a different team to Krakoa to save the X-Men way back when, right before he recruited Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, etc. They all supposedly died. One of them was Vulcan, Cyclops’ third brother. Professor X never told Cyclops about it. When Vulcan appeared to be alive well that’s when things hit the fan.
I’m relatively certain there’s more to this than just Deadly Genesis. Charles was hiding a lot more from them than a secret group of x-men. I seem to remember Cyclops being angsty towards him a few other times as well, and at least one of those being before DG. Like, pre Blood Of Apocalypse and even pre M-day but I don’t remember why. Hmm, I think DG might have happened before these though. I’d have to check the dates.
Yeah I think DG is the big one though. Lying about your brother having possibly died in the past is a major fib. And going as far as erasing Cyclops’ memory of him is ten times worse. Just my personal opinion but that is the worst thing you can do to Cyke who grew up without a real family. Especially since he considered Professor X to be like his father.
They had beef during Messiah CompleX later but the Vulcan thing is like the 800 pound gorilla in the room that seems to loom over all of their interactions since then.
He really isn’t, though. Guy could have taken over the world more times than anyone I know, but he didn’t. Arrogant in his own way, sure. But it was always to protect people.
And Cyclops is a hypocrite. He gets mad at Xavier for doing what it takes to get the job done yet he’s the same guy forming extermination squads to kill humans and infecting people with the Legacy Virus. Glass houses Scott. Glass houses.
Hey don’t be talkin’ like that, they’ll bring her back, prob. in some big crossover or something.
I mean heck she’s not dead, and who knows maybe they could come up with a good story to bring her back.
