Lint - What’s the big deal? Firestar’s cat is a Skrull anyway. Oops! I let the Skrull cat out of the bag… Maybe… :badboy:

Doom is probably just going to thank Thor for getting him out of hell. “Hey, man! Just wanted to say thanks! I hitched a ride with your enchanted hammer out of hell, so thanks for doing or not doing whatever it was at the time.”

Sano, ignore Linty.
BTW you did read the Avengers Initiative Reptil one-shot right?

WHAT? He’s SRK Royalty. He was talking about comics on this forum way back before anyone knew who I was. You crazy son! CRAZY! :looney:

I have like no interest in Avengers Initiative anymore. Just New and Dark for me.

Son, I’m the most sane person on these boards, at least I can tell the difference between an artbook and a TPB. smokes his crack

Sigh, the Reptil one-shot had Devil Dinosaur in it.

…and no love for Mighty? It’s a superhero team book with good writing and nice action:angel:
Oh well at least I’m enjoying it :3

I have tried and tried to become interested in Initiative but nothin’… Even Mighty Avengers is boring at best right now for me. Anyone recommend any titles that don’t have poorly written, made-up, garbagey characters?

I find this rather ironic.

Not directly related to you or a shot at you, but just how the overall reception to a “real” or “classic” Avengers comic has been.

Too many people on the internet were whining they didn’t want “n-Marvel’s n-Avengers” and now they have a classic Avengers team, written in a classic style by a guy who loves continuity and old characters…And no one seems to like it.

Remember when the masters of evil trashed the Avengers mansion and ripped up Steve Rodgers Lou Gerhig Babe Ruth ball?

That was a great issue. Baron Zemo was ganster in that one.

Nah you’re like someone’s nephew some of us old folks can’t communicate with. You don’t like the Beatles? Never watched Yellow Submarine? Aren’t familiar with Shakespeare at all? In text message speak say you can comprehend. OMG UR TEH ROXORS :stuck_out_tongue: ~_^

J/K we’re all best friends here.

Devil Dinosaur’s gonna be in Pet Avengers so I’ll catch up with him there. The kid from Big Hero Six was able to channel him too and IIRC there was a Skrull version of him during Secret Invasion along with the other 100 characters drawn in that book. He’s had more exposure than Shuma-Gorath in the last 2 years…

That’s cold blooded.
There’s no going back from that.

Ah, but he’s never been in a Marvel fighting game.
Waste of flesh!

I don’t mind new, really, I just want them to do it in a fashion that isn’t overplayed or terribly boring. IMO, that’s what they’ve done here. They took what was a golden opportunity and put it in the wrong hands at the wrong time.

Tru dat lol Devil Dinosaur should fight Hauzer or something if they ever make MVC3. :looney:

Like I said before, I never really cared about the Avengers until Spidey and Wolvie joined the team. So Mighty doesn’t interest me at all.

I have always liked Kang stories so whenever he did show up I would read my brother’s Avengers comics in the 80s. That’s about the extent of it.

New Mike Carey interview!

Speaking of that one-eye tentacle raping alien…when was his last appearance in a Marvel comic story? …and by that I also mean the year.

…and Doctor, Slott’s recent story in Mighty was pretty good, but I guess it’s not your taste:rolleyes:

Oh and I agree with much of Clint’s gripes about today’s youth from Gran Torino.

Marvel Knights 4 (The Fantastic Four Marvel Knights book) by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Issues 26 and 27. Back in 2006.

Roberto is really cool. He brings back a lot of old characters. During his Sensational Spidey run he brought back Puma and Marvel’s Scarecrow! Yes Marvel has a Scarecrow man I was so happy someone at Marvel still remembered that! Oh and if you don’t like BND, read his last issue of Sensational, tell yourself that’s Spidey’s future and you’ll be fine - he is shown a bit older with 2 kids still married to MJ. :lovin:

He’s writing Marvel Divas too. I don’t like the concept but I’m getting it solely because he is writing Black Cat again and Firestar. He’s one of the few at Marvel like Peter David and Mike Carey that writes comics for long time fans of comics. Roberto is really underrated.

Scarecrow was in Iron Man: Enter the Mandarin a couple years back too.
It’s got Eric Canete art, so it’s awesome.

I think Marvel Divas is going to be great, and fall into obscurity after people find out it’s not what they bitched about it being.

…both of which are Spidey-related characters:clown:

Err don’t Geoff and Morrison do that too?

Lol neither are at Marvel. :looney: Geoff sure, Morrison is more insane than anything. I think he writes for himself, and if you don’t like it you’re either stupid or not high enough. :wonder: I think he’s great and all, most of the time. Sometimes he gives nods to older stuff, but it’s like even if you’ve read the comics he’s talking about you still might not understand what he’s talking about. Or just haven’t done enough acid. :clown:

Morrison does do a fair amount of online interviews which does help navigate some of his stuff I guess. I think he’s brilliant. Long time reader fan servicey, in a way yes. Not in the same way as everyone else mentioned though.

Didn’t know that. That’s awesome!
