Everything, aside from LOLkusa, looks pretty good. The hitbox on some of her normals are pretty ridiculous (on the good side, not the LOLkusa side).

If we can work around that bad grab range, we got some pretty decent pokes… Just don’t use C.RH ever!

Abel cant ultra from his TT. The entire reason Karakusa got nerfed was because for some reason Capcom decided it should combo into U1, then had to “balance” it. I would gladly take a faster, throw invincible, longer ranger Karakusa that cant combo into U1. Still a very viable character though, just different from what fans wanted.

They were thinking SSF4 isn’t 3S and they should make her work differently. unfortunately they didn’t quite get it right. karakusa being weak is fine but her other specials need a bit of a bump to make up for it. they were scared of making her beastly again, this is what I’d guess. they probably made certain decisions for her in 3S and after seeing how it turned out agreed to make some changes if they ever got the chance again.

either that or everyone really had no idea and she got cobbled together from bits and pieces.

makoto indeed sucks, anyone with good footies and zoning will beat you far more than you beat them. Every single one of her moves are worst than they ever were. beside Mp.

She can grab into ultra thats all she has going for her.

I love the character but capcom screwed her with her grabs. I wouldn’t even mind the grab range if it has quicker startup or different strengths had different properties.

Actually, c.RH has a use; it beats out Zangief’s Lariats, lol.

I will join the chorus here. Since she uses her far hand when doing the move, I’ve been trying to relaunch opponents by crossing them up with it on a reset. Sadly, it looks like Capcom also raised the hitbox on this move too.

I don’t think they raised the hitbox, I think they just added a flag to the move that makes it not hit a grounded opponent. In 3rd Strike, the only character she could hit grounded was Elena, and certain other characters if they were stunned.

Yeah, pretty sure you’re right about this. Don’t think it’s possible to land fukiage unless your opponent is in an airborne state.

I’ve been trying a shitload of things that you’d think should hit, but it never does unless they’re in the air.

I’m pretty sure I was able to hit Hakan after a lv3 FA. It might work with lv2, too.

Last part of crumple animation is classed as airborne. It’s why characters backflip out if you hit them with a normal too late.

Really? That’s awesome, I’ve been looking for an option besides waiting or precisely aimed (at the noogie) tsurugi against lariats. Although I suppose you’re already (close to or) within sweep range then aren’t you. which brings us back to the slow movement space, you can’t dash too far as you’ll just go right into the lariat…

Haha, you guys are lucky you even got hitbox for everything else except fukiage.Dudley got hitbox data for NO SPECIAL MOVE except MGB, which he really doesn’t need hitbox data for.

her F + MP seems to be her only normal with good priority…

and her overhead her only special with good priority…
