U2 fireballs invincible is broken,not only characters like Gouken,but even Akuma’s matchup is screwed,no more Zankus keep away. It’s too much.

U1 damage nerf? Not needed,get closer to the opponent is not that simple,especially with reversals everywhere and the risk of opponent jump out. It’s already 424dmg after a karakusa,coming from a command grab without any invincibility,some characters can do much more damage via an invincible reversal (i.e. Sagat).

Fukiage hitting grounded opponents? Crispy,but not needed and a bit broken. Hey,if this shit remain,I don’t cry xD

j.mk better hitbox? Finally,also 1000 health.

Oroshi EX throw invincible is good.

Unfortunately no mention about post-Hayate mixups,but ground Fukiage maybe can deal with this.

Definitely, non EX fukiage should not hit grounded opponents. And EX Fukiage to HP fukiage is not easy midscreen.

I don’t understand the reasoning behind this change. This, but no improvement to karakusa or post hayate mixup ? It does not respect the spirit of the character.

Sorry, since I wrote it on my phone i was lazy ^^; I dont really know, but it’d make more sense. That video is really cool though, but the one with the Dhalsim I think stresses that requiring meter is a good thing, lol.

That video shows it. It’s so imba on itself and inside Maks own metagame that every single other option she has is absolutely neglected to nothingness. Every single combo would end in Fuki -> reset (or some kind of safe jump) at least or Fuki -> Ex Tsurugi whenever you have ex for it.

Rest is OK - nerfed damage is acceptable (not needed if you ask me), buffs needed and welcome. I’d add this two to list instead of Fuki one:

  • Ex Karakusa has range of hard Karakusa
  • Every normal version of Hayate gives +2 on hit, -8 on block with consistent pushback: in range of Karakusa.

More weight on threatening with Karakusa, more weight on post Hayate mixups, you’re screwed if Hayate is blocked sine you’re in their face with huge minus. Fair enough if you ask me.

I figured the fukiage change would generate a lot of controversies. Just don’t shoot me if it doesn’t make it into the final version… I’m just the messenger :stuck_out_tongue:

I should have asked about post hayate changes and which fukiage were buffed. But I was talking to him Saturday night during marvel finals in the venue and hype so we really didn’t get into the specifics. Nor did I want to annoy him with too many questions since I was sure he was getting a lot of people asking him about changes.

Hayate is 0/+1/+2 on hit and is -8 on block for jab hayate. I think it’s -7/-6 for the next two.

You know, nobody has talked about the properties of Fukiage on block or the implications of it in blocks strings. If this stays… It will be EXREMELY dangerous to mash, crouch tech, backlash) airborne frames), or jump away. Fukiage trades will be the new go to. And once people get tired of getting blown up by EX Fukiage, karakusa becomes ugh more viable. This is very dangerous. Capcom better tread carefully here…

Nothing for you to correct since I wasn’t stating how Hayate is now in game. Was talking what I believe would be more suitable change to Makoto in place of that Fukiage nonsense.

I would be happy if Karasuka can cancel throws. It just doesnt make sense to get thrown out of a grab move.

U2 fireball invincibility is not broken, it should have been that way from the start. gouki doesn’t need air firballs to deal with makoto and reacting to any characters fireball is not as easy as you think.

Gouken is so terribly fucked with fireball invincible U2.

No? When U2 is stocked,what Gouki can do? Jump? No. Fireball? Done son. Keep-away air fb? No again. Abare punish already the fireballs,but with projectile invincibility a character like Gouken better is finish.

While I feel grounded Fuki is broken, 3S Universal overhead (even if not comboable but just having the airborne properties and being faster than Makoto’s Oroshi would be cool and probably able to be balanced. Make it like many other overheads. -2F on block +2F on hit and like 60damage. Make her move forward a little bit bit not as far like Yun/Yang or Fei and make her airborne after like 4-5F of the startup and all the way to the start of recovery frames. Gives her a less risky overhead. Lower risk, lower reward.

if those buffs are true its nice, but with some system changes and buffs to all the rest of the low to mid tier characters. I wouldn’t start the “thats too strong” bandwagon just yet…
