Here’s my first stab at stick art for me! I had the splats REALLY nice but lost it due to poor layer management >.< I almost feel like I went over board on them this time but I could be talked into thinking other wise. Either way, comments? critiques? threats of violence?
Also a first time photoshop user. What I got so far. I cant tell if the background will stay gray, or if it will go white if I put nothing on it. I’m going for a white background with some ink blotches and stripes, since Hakumen’s attacks have a brushstroke look and feel. Could use some criticism on this.
Nice tutorial d3v, its cool that you took the effort of doing this. Seems that you motivated a lot of people to pick up PS and do their own stuff haha.
By the way, does anyone have a Hori V3 template? I can only seem to find V3 SA ones
Hey d3V I have a question, I want to put the background inside of the text. I know that I am going to have to enlarge the text for that to happen, but how do you put the background in side of it?
Enlarge it (use the transform too, CTRL+T, hold SHIFT, click on the corners and the drag). Then select all the areas outside of the logo. After this, select the layer of the background, then click on Layers > Layer Mask > Reveal All, press delete to mask the selected areas, then turn off the layer of the logo.
Next, I only have 6 black rimmed, red plunger and 2 dark hai Sanwa buttons. I also have a red Sanwa balltop and a grey balltop from let’s say, a Hori FS3. Which combination would be nice?
Aww really? Goes to show my non-existing GIMP skills… What do you mean polish? If it’s the BG, it’s a 720p screenshot I just blew up and the only chance I can get my buttons to work well.
