Don’t know if this thread’s dead or not, but I just wanted to thank the author for the tut. Here’s what I managed to make with it. I have the Madcatz SE stick, btw.

Hi all, hopefully someone can help me.
Just got myself a WWE Brawl Stick which was very cheap and have ordered some parts to mod it. I have also started to design some custom artwork as the the pic it comes with is junk!!
Does anyone know of where I can get it printed? (Lami-Label)- correct?
I reside in London, UK.
This is my 1st design ever, tell me what ya think.
Here is another tip if you want to make your stick look pretty. While designing your art listen to some of your favorite music. It keeps you pumped and motivated :]. For instance I listen to either:

you have to have a splashier background man. That looks bland as hell.
help! i need some assistance with choosing what color buttons and ball top to use on this stick!
I also plan on spraying the case silver.
any help would be appreciated!
The Purple Clashes too much with the background. You need to find a way to make Juri and the background work together in a way that roots her in it in a way that looks natural. Right now you have a hyper detailed BG and Simplified Juri in a color not represented or contrasted correctly anywhere in the image. Glows and drop shadows wont fic this, try to find a way to make Juri fit in her setting more. Gray scale her to B&W or something similar. Try Cloning and offsetting her in a new color each time. Things like that.
A bit of Photoshop advice. NEVER DELETE PIXELS. Use masking. You never know when you might have to go back and make changes, which you can’t do if the images you’re using have been permanently changed. Never use the magic wand. It’s a binary tool. It either selects pixels or it doesn’t. Use Color Range instead.
quick question where should I get my art printed and what are the dimensions I ask for and size of paper? Ive been searching and looking around in the threads and I just can’t seem to find this portion of information. Thanks guys
If you’re in the US or Canada, you can always hit up a Kinko’s. You’ll want Legal size (8.5" x 14") for a T.E. Have them print it on heavy card stock paper.
Alternatively, you can just go to Art’s Hobbies, use his template and have him print it, laser cut it, make the plexi, etc. For all of the above it’ll total you about $30 with shipping.
Anyone have direct links over the years to the templates that people created with button labels, etc. for users to easily put onto their art? I think that’s one of the things that people would look for most in an art thread aside from good advice on making art pieces work.
How do you get button labels and splash effect for the buttons? I got a custom art going but its sad that i doesn’t have that lableing finish on it.
Can you post an example of the splash effect?
Google Photoshop Brushes or GIMP Brushes, depending on which program you’re using. Find one that works, create a new layer and go to town with the brush.
As for the button labels, if you’re referring to the parts of the cover that say X, O, L1, etc., then go to dafont.com and find something that looks good and use the text tool. Then you can add filters, blending effects, or whatever. If you mean art inside of clear buttons, just put whatever you want inside the circles for the buttons on the template and when you have it printed, cut them out then insert them into the buttons.
anyone have a template for a soul caliber 5 stick?
