There is still room for more Bisons. I would add some Bisons on Bison’s shoulders, like a white one with a halo and a red or black one with golden horns and a pitchfork.
I think the Bison on the left should face inward. His face might be covered up by the dust washer though.
I decided to stop waiting on people to make art for me and started to learn photoshop. Here’s my first attempt at some art. Chose Carnage from Spider-Man seeing as he is one of my favorite villains.
Originally I was looking for a black and white themed Venom one, since I planned on purchasing white/black sanwa buttons and spray-painting my stick black. This was just a test run to see what I could learn.
For the Venom Art, I was thinking of getting the Venom logo as a large background, a large picture of Venom somewhere on the stick and white webs splattered across the stick. I haven’t found out how to make webs in Photoshop or found a good Black and White picture of Venom yet either.
I plan on going to get my artwork printed today after work. I have a Madcatz TE round 1 stick and the art will go under plexi from Art’s.
Ive read through threads and just want to make sure that I am asking for the correct thing when I go to get it printed.
-300 DPI
-Save it in a PDF Format with 100% no scaling
-On Legal Size paper
-Is cardstock better or necessary?
If anybody could shed some light on this I’d be grateful. Thanks
Hi all, i just started using photoshop myself and this is what i came up with:
I also have some questions. First of all, i have a custom arcade stick case made out of real wood, so most of those templetes don’t apply to me. The stick builder sent me a templete to use on the artwork for the button and joystick placement, but i’m not sure how to properly print it out using my printer. The case itself is a small slanted sanwa case, so i could print from my printer. I went ahead and measured the control panel in inches and tried to make the artwork according to those specs using photoshop, but when i printed the artwork it was way too big o_O any suggestions? Also when i go back and open the file in photoshop the size is different… and when i try to change the DPI or size it won’t let me. Please comment on my artwork as well.
The beauty of saving it to a PDF(High Quality Print) and changing the color mode to CMYK is that:
PDF files make the PSD file higher quality while not requiring custom fonts. If you goto any print shop with a PSD file and try to load up the image, it will tell you that you’re missing the original fonts unless you use the “Package” feature which saves everything you used for the file in a folder. PDF file saves everything you need under one convenient file.
CMYK mode(under Image/mode) will give you a more accurate view of how your print looks since RGB/Red Green Blue mode(default) is only used for monitors/TVs. CMYK(Cyan Magenta Yellow blacK) is a must since I’ve seen many people’s original file turn hideous when they print it out.
Quick tip, I usually turn off the guides(buttons, stick and cluster) before saving as a PDF file just incase it’s off and there’s no random bits around while cutting out the graphic.
I know the body placement will be annoying to most, but with the image I had, this was the best I could do. But any other critiques on the placement of everything, and any effects I could use on the text, especially the button labels?
GIMP tutorials on how to do so would also be helpful.
Okay, so I made some artwork using Art’s Hobbies extended TE template. What layers do I need to turn off, and is there any cropping I need to do before I dump it on a flash drive and run off to Kinkos?
