I have a question. I download the Madcatz SE template and added the artwork and such, but when I go to print out the thing on Photoshop, it ends up being the incorrect size. How do I go about fixing it? I was printing it on my home printer to make sure everything was alright before I took it to Kinkos, apparently something went wrong.
Thanks for the quick reply. When I hit the “Scale to fit media” the image turns even smaller. After a well spent hour browsing two fightstick modding threads, I figured I didn’t really need to have it full fitting because what bothered me is that I printed the buttons layer and ended up having white spots. I’ll just turn off the layer next time aha. I looked at your template with the red guiding lines and I was wondering if it’s alright to print as is without hitting “scale to fit media”?
If you’re using the official template, then it really will have those white spots (as for some reason the official template is inaccurate). It’s recommended that you print without those layers. If you really need to exact location of the buttons, use the template I posted a few posts back.
I’ve been working on this for a friend’s Qanba stick:
I like what I have so far, but I’m kinda stuck now. It feels like the top and bottom borders need… something. Not really sure what, though. They just look kinda empty compared to the rest of the art. Any suggestions?
I can’t seem to find the post you speak of. Any chance of a link?
I didn’t realize they were off and I’m using splatter on my artwork for their location.
Hey. I’m new at all this “stick stuff” and I can’t for the life of me find the “Insert Artwork Here” and “Magic Wand Tool”. I also don’t understand what the layers mean, and after opening the template and a 1600x1200 picture I don’t know where to go from here.
Also, I use the trial version of PhotoShop 5. Here is a picture of template, a picture just to test, and the menu stuff: http://i54.tinypic.com/sx2d7c.jpg - P.S. I’m from Denmark.
How big can you safely resize a picture? What are some of the best ways to go about resizing? I have Photoshop and was using that (bicubic smoother), and results were okay, but I was wondering if I should try something else.
I want to double the size of this Chun-Li picture. Is that too much? How should I do it?
I got a new Madcatz SE fightstick today… I want to try and get custom design on it as soon as. Here is my design so far.
I am a big Ryu player and love both the art from Street Fighter IV and Tatsunoko vs Capcom. TvC has the best Ryu art in my opinion though. Let me know what you think.
I was using the trial version Photoshop CS5, which I had just downloaded last night. I have never touched Photoshop, so I was using multiple tutorials here and on YouTube.
I wanted to do combination stick art with Dudley & Sagat on one side repsenting my SSFIV mains with the SSFIV logo and on the other side Wesker & Magneto my upcoming mains for MVC3.
