I wouldn’t recommend mashing backdash at all. That’s screaming for an option select if they catch on to you. I know Rose has a good backdash but don’t mash it out when you could be blocking mixups and breaking throws.
Few things wrong here, any charge character will be downbacking after a knockdown. meaty cl.MK also only beats out throws and noninvincible startup specials. Guile can still flash kick out of cl.MK. I also dunno if you’re trying to say it beats out any throw command/normal/ultra/super or literally saying it beats out all normals/commands/ultras/supers. The constant “…” is making it look really sloppy and hard to tell.
blocked and unsafe Spirals can be punished by flash kicks. Even a safe LP spiral.
slide kick into throw, slide kick into back dash into slide kick (sounds crazy but it works), or Soul Spiral once/if Guile gets hip and tries to start back dashing or focus attacking on wake up… now your last option to use on Guile for his wake up, which i recommend saving until you see he has an Ultra, is standing in his face on his wake up and then jumping forward and pressing MK… this is GOLD!!! whatever Guile decided to do, he will whiff!!!

I’m pretty sure cl.MK gets beat by wakeup U1. It’ll beat U2 but that’s cause sonic hurricane doesn’t hit right in front of Guile. Still, i’m not a fan of cl.MK on Guile’s wakeup to begin with.
A lot of it though is really just bad wording and the constant “…” along with nothing really helping towards the matchup of Guile. (as most of the tips given can apply to basically the whole cast.) I’m not gonna go any further since we’d just be derailing the thread, but if you want to go further, just shoot a PM towards me.
From what I understand, it’s not entirely about the money. It’s that Eventhubs is taking the content from Maj. (Even if they don’t deem it so, since they credit him and link back to his site, but post the entirety of the content on their page anyway. Thus not giving any incentive to leave Eventhubs. Thus Maj not getting many hits from it being posted on something like Eventhubs. Also if I’ve read this whole debacle correctly, they haven’t asked to post the content either.) This would be solved easier if Maj could allow Youtube embedding on sites that he knows and has asked before to post his videos and lets them just post it without asking, since he knows the userbase well enough that they’d actually click through. But the settings only allow to disable embedding for every site that embeds said video.
So Maj might get so many hits from people watching the embedded video, but that only counts towards his Youtube page, not Sonic Hurricane, which he wants hits on. Yes, he gains ad revenue, but its not like he wants to fund his life with it or anything. He does it because he loves the community, and some extra money each month is just a bonus to doing something that he loves. But if only a small amount of people actually click through, his site doesn’t garner hits for the purpose he made the site, and viewers would just stay on Eventhubs instead of clicking through. Because why click through to read/view the content on the site the content was made for when its available in its whole right there? Because its already conveniently there. Instead Eventhubs gets the hits, and the added ad revenue. And while I don’t know exact numbers, I bet Eventhubs has a higher number of hits per month than Sonic Hurricane, so its considerably more ad revenue for very little work. I think Eventhubs is a good site, but its practices could be better, I used it for the SF4 arcade machine locator just to see if there was anywhere I was going for a business trip that had one before the game came out on consoles.
If embedding is stealing then there are a whole lot of thieves. If you think embedding is theft, then it’s pretty easy to disable on the user end. If you want the privilege of embedding turned on but you don’t want sites embedding your content, then… well, you better be ready to send a whole bunch of requests out.
The issue is that he demands his content to be specifically directed out of the blue. He has never once brought up this issue to anyone. And the worst part is that because he is such a powerful contributor, anyone would have listened to his request to not embed his videos!
Yes there are a whole lot of theives. Thank you for admitting it. Now lets see if anyone in charge (EH for example) has the ethical decency to not steal when given an oppurtunity.
srk embeds videos all the time, just like every single website in existence. under that logic, youtube should disable embedding period, because their users’ content is being stolen all the time
The worst thing is I’m willing to bet that those who are defending the idea of having proper credit given are those who create. While the rest, just consume. I’m not sure how I feel about EH, since I don’t interact with people there just because. He isn’t being a whiny bitch, he’s looking his credit. Plenty of website are out there that completely compile all the latest news and has them in a nice neat package.jimmyr.com & gametab.com come to mind. They have their advertising but the articles they present actually take you to the site that created it.
If you want to create content, then create new unrealized content. Something stupid that a lot of sites do, not just EH, is put these stupid character “guides” without any actual guides. Not only that, all I see is a move list… Thanks… It’s not anything I can’t find in my manual! On a personal note, if they are so concerned with Content then where is Cody strategy guide? What has anyone on EH added to that guide? It’s been up since April 28th, and that’s it.
I don’t know if these allegations are true or not. All I’m doing is looking at the gripes which a lot of people have with the site and I tend to agree. The site just compiles stuff, gives it to all those consumers, because that’s all they do. Some may as well think that information is gospel since it’s on their site. Stolen or not, I don’t ever see EH add stuff in terms of bettering the community. Maybe they have and I’ve missed it, my 2 cents…
What exactly makes you think that EH has the right to rip off the work of others without even asking for permission? Imagine that you worked hard on something, you spend months working on it perhaps over a year like some of the videos that Maj puts out year after year, you upload it for people who would appreciate it will get a chance to see it. Then someone like EH goes ahead and takes your work, the one that you’ve worked on for the entire year to earn a profit on it.
Why should EH earn a profit on it? What have they done to deserve the hits that the video will give their website? They didn’t help make the content, they didn’t help uploading it, they didn’t do anything. They didn’t even ask if they can embed it.
Now EH is making a profit at Maj’s expense. How is that right?
The only thing surprising to me in this thread at all is that there are people who are past the “how do I dp??!?1” phase who still use eventhubs. The overwhelming majority of content they don’t steal is poorly written, very low level, or both.
And in the end we lose a great source of information. I really don’t get how you can fault a guy for quitting when he’s having to pay money to keep his own site up, meanwhile eventhubs is MAKING money off his and other people’s content. I can easily understand the frustration and can’t blame him. It would be wise for Eventhubs to listen to other people’s requests in the future or all the “worth while” information on eventhubs will be like the guide on the last page. We all lose at that point.
Im an eventhubs fan and tbh i can see where te guy is coming from but there are adult ways to go about things any time eventhubs has been asked not to show something they have taken it down instantly. Without eventhubs i wouldnt have heard of sonic hurricains undoubtedly great work. Id like to know why srk and ipw among others have been spared the wrath of this guy though cause both do very much the same thing. Criticisms of Eventhubs guides are not the issue as for ripping off guides from other sites thats gonna be hard to prove cause the source material is the same.
I think the sites cretors for srk,eh,ipw and others should get together and agree how things should move forward cause im sure they would have plenty to talk about and come to some sort of agreement to stop this happening again. The other day i was watching a stream by option select when one of em found that an artical they had on there site was front paged on srk they were high fiveing each another… hows this any diffrent from eventhubs posting a sonic hurricane vid while giving full credit?
It’s all about convenience. They have a nifty little tournament tracker that people like to just go to instead of weeding through a whole thread to find out minute to minute results. The average person is LAZY. If you give them one website that they can use for all their needs then they’re going to use it. It’s a shame cause other than the fan made guides, it does not have a single shred of original content.
I’m fine with eventhubs. All of SRK’s cesspool goes over there to post. Clover4lyf has been banned from SRK numerous times but he’s celebrated over there cause he “contributes” a bunch of stuff lol
And how many times has Eventhubs brought it up with Maj if it would be okay to use his content? I’m willing to bet zero, just like they did with my content. It is proper etiquette in any situation, in any form of media, to request proper use, or in this case, the republishing of content. You don’t even have to take a journalism class to understand that, it’s just common sense. What kind of fucked up world do you live in where the content creator has to actively go out and seek proper usage terms? Even Kotaku, who I loathe as much as EH, had the decency to contact me to see if it was okay to use some of my content before publishing it on their site.
i respect your reply… good to see someone in SRK isnt an ass like the rest… you my friend are a rare breed… i hope your SRK members follow your lead… seriously… kudos…
