yep same here , only European one replied once and nothing today
i will try out a pci usb card exansion and see if that might work, will post details after.
Yes, still looking into it guys, this is more complicated research as there are so many different setups out there.
I can confirm on my work PC the PS3 sticks/fightpad are plug and play, and on my home XP sp2/sp3 and Vista all work PnP.
Iāll try a Windows 7 over the weekend.
Thanks for keeping us up to date , It seems to be a majority of people that aint getting it to work on xp sp3 from what i can read on various forums .
Thx for a reply MarkMan,
As for my here is my feedback:
32bit Windows XP SP3
Plugged directly into M/B USB
Plugged directly into Case USB
Plugged directly into a Passive USB switcher
Plugged directly into a Powered USB switcher
All no go, same detection of āPC USB Wired Stick 8818ā Status āOkā and no buttons or stick actually register on the test window.
i have xp home edition sp2 but it doesnt work.
markman it would be of more help if you post motherboard and processor as i think the motherboard plays a part of it .
post motherbaord and processor please as this will help madcatz more in trying to find out why it is not working on various pcās.
any 1 find any solutions?
works with my laptop running vista, but no luck in my pirated XP, LOL
Has anyone actually had it work in one OS and not in another on the same computer? From testing my SE on 3 PCs it seems to be a hardware thing.
On the PC it doesnāt work on Iāve now tried XP SP1 64 bit & 32 bit, XP SP3 32 bit and 5 different Linux distros/versions, both 32 bit and 64 bit. They all recognise it but donāt get any input, and the turbo lights wonāt come on. The XP SP1 installs are on the hard drive from one of the working PCs. (Windows doesnāt appreciate you doing thatā¦ :bgrin:)
I messed around with a trial version of a USB monitoring tool I found after googling for a while, and there was some kind of constant activity going on. I donāt have access to that computer at the mo and canāt remember what the app was, so Iāll post more info on that tomorrow.
Iāve messed around with BIOS settings and tried different chipset driver versions. The only thing I can think of that havenāt checked is if the turbo lights will come on before the OS boots on the working PCs, Iāll do that tomorrow.
edit:
Dual booting on the laptop, or different computers?
different computers.
I doubt a solution will arise, because it seems like it is very hit or miss even with people having the same exact drivers and versions of windows. at this point, i chalk it up to a motherboard issue. and that is usually a hassle to be able to solve. maybe different irq settings or something complicated.
Lets hope not , I bought it for my pc too , Id really like to play third strike
same as you guys i got 2 teās to play on my pc and also to use on my little broās ps3 on occasion , and i need some results in a fix or workaround.
i bought them to be used mainly on my pc, so i need a fix and a fix soon,
fingers crossed,
ya im fiending some og st, and 3s on this!
Well, the joysticks donāt get any power before the OS starts booting. (Probably obvious to anyone who knows about USB. )
Here are screenshots from the USB monitor program I found:

Anyone know if I can force it to use the ECHI instead of OCHI?
OK, only 4 people have reported their motherboards, and theyāre all ASUS with nForce chipsets so far. Can everyone please state your montherboard?
So far we have not working:
ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe (nForce 570)
ASUS P5N-D (nForce 750i)
2x ASUS P5N-E SLI (nForce 650i)
Also, has anyone tried a USB expansion card yet?
some people tried usb extension and it didnt work
I mean a PCI/PCI-E expansion card inside the PC. I was one of the people who tried a hub.
If someone has a motherboard that doesnāt work, but an expansion card that does we can rule out operating system or driver version as the fault.
Iām also using an ASUS mobo (p5n-e) with nforce. I do have a pci usb card in an older computer, Iāll pull that out later and see if it does anything in this one.
