ya same with the others no response =(
thanks very much =) i will try it
So the desktop PC should be a cut and dry issue of buying a VIA PCI. How about for laptops? Has anybody found a solution for this yet?
noob question
k so i got a pci card and it works fine when i plug in my fightstick into but is it ok for me to use the fightstick on another usb plug now? (the one that didnt work before)
LOL
Not unless:
1- USB port is from the CASE (not the motherboard)
2-Your PCI card has an internal USB connector
3-You detached the usb cable inside the pd from your motherboard and put it into the pci card.
Here is something cool I found out. I have a macbook pro unibody that uses a nvidia chipset. I have windows 7 installed in bootcamp and also parallels 5 running the boot camp partition. In boot camp (native windows) the chipset is using OHCI, so the TE and SE wonât work, but in Parallels 5 for some reason, the virtual machine is able to have UHCI. So in other words, my TE works in Parallels 5, but not in boot camp.
My question is, can this help in any way to get our OHCI based chipsets to use UHCI?
So I am getting a new PC and Iâll get a chipset intel one so I donât have to bother with pci usb boards.
Anyway, anyone can confirm to me if the P7P55D LE, has the UHCI?
Sorry about the bad english.
are you guys sure Intel will definitely work?
i got an intel p55 chipset on xp sp3 with an "intel USB enhanced host controller"
the stick can be recognized but no response in properties.
any ideas?
Check your Device Manager, it should say something like âIntelÂŽ 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller.â
Yea. mine says Intel 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller"
Is this a first for not working with Intel then?
You should look at universal not enhanced.
So any recommandation of a good pci usb that works with windows 7 and has the UHCI?
Cant seem to find universal, only enhanced.
Is that the reason why my stick isnt working even though I have an Intel board and chipset?
Hey, Iâm not really a PC tech type person but I was wondering if I can get some help here. So my ps3 TE stick works fine on my old crappy PC but not on my new PC. I was wondering if I could take out the usb ports from my old PC and add them to my new one?
Please read the first post before replying.
If you have a desktop PC, just go to your local computer shop to get a PCI USB adapter thatâs run by a VIA chip, and you should be fine. If you have an older computer with one of these adapters which works, you can always try it in your newer PC before you go hunting for parts. Be aware that you can only plug your PS3 TE in the new ports; it does not fix the other ones.
If you have a laptop, youâre out of luck unless you can find a PCMCIA or expressCard with a compatible controller (youâll have to test this yourself).
So is it âofficialâ that the VIA chipsets are working?
Yes, damnit
Can the first page be updated please.
The latest Intel P55 Series Chipset do not carry Universal Host Controller Interface, only Enhanced, therefore the TE stick will NOT work.
Does anyone know if the Intel x58 chipset (1366 socket motherboards) have UHCI??
I recently bought a second hand PS3 TE stick on ebay for use on my PC. However, itâs been entirely non-functional. Windows canât even see it in Device Manager, let alone put it into the game controllers list.
I already took the step of buying a VIA PCI USB card. It has made no difference whatsoever - still getting nothing in Device Manager.
Additionally, the stick is clearly receiving power as the turbo LEDs will light up when buttons are pressed. However, somebody else in this thread claimed the LEDs wonât ever light up on a PC. Presumably, this has to be a bad sign. Is the device somehow stuck in turbo mode⌠who knows.
Basically I just want it confirmed that the LEDs should not be lighting up like this after the device is plugged in, before I start the tedious process of getting my money back.
My PS3 TE does not work on my PC. Itâs Intel based, and has windows 7 64 bit. So no one made drivers yet?
