MadCatZ PS3 TE FightStick: PC - Xp- vista- win7 32-64bit (read 1st post)

thanks a bunch! i’ll go give it a shot! keep you updated!

Bought exact same card just earlier today and it works like a charm. :lovin:

HELP…

I am at an after christmas sale looking at Mad Catz fight sticks…

What is the best SE fight stick to use on the PC… the PS3 version or the X-Box version?

Since I am buying two… should I get one of each, or will that pose setup problems…

xbox one will work straight away no matter which pc you have. ps3 one will work but you may have to buy a usb pci card. There’s a thread on the shoryuken forums somewhere discussing this. it has 25 pages so there’s alot of into. I advise you to read the first post.

You guys with the on-board via chipsets should try updating your usb drivers.
If that doesn’t work try downgrading to an older version.

Go to your motherboards website for drivers, and information on how to up/downgrade.

Thanks, SRK! As I plan on buying a PS3 once SSFIV comes out I wanted to get a PS3 TE Stick for my PC. After reading the OP I bought a no-name VIA chipset USB card with it - works perfectly.

“The Dynex DX-2P2C provides USB 2.0 interface fully backward compatibility with USB 1.1 devices.”

I forgot about this post but I walked into a Bestbuy here in Canada (I can’t be assed waiting for online orders ;x) a while ago and picked up the cheapest USB card they had. My PS3 TE Stick now works for SFIV PC and Mame and what not; I even use it for a tower defense game. Works perfectly using Windows 7 Ultimate.

I am unsure if it is compatible with the Xbox360 Controller Emulator Driver from http://motioninjoy.com/blog/xbox-360-controller-emulator but my PS3 Controllers map perfectly fine to it.

Just to make sure, I don’t think this controller will be compatible with my mobo, but anyone think it will work with this : http://www.e4allupgraders.info/dir1/motherboards/socketam2/ecsMCP61SM-GM.shtml I know, Its awesome right?

hey i just got a new macbook pro and i’m having the same problem with the chipset. (recognizes PS3 TE stick, but nothing registers.)
my question is if i dual mod my TE stick so that it becomes compatible with xbox360, will it also become compatible with my laptop when i switch it to xbox360?

I was thinking of dual modding it anyways, so I’m hoping it will also fix my PC compatibility problems instead of having to install a new chipset, which I think would be difficult on a macbook.

I’m having problems with Asus P7P55D Pro as well, it should also be an intel chipset. worked fine on my gigabyte also, so i guess we’re in same boat…

It seems to still come down to UHCI though. On my Gigabyte board in device manager, I see a bunch of universal host controllers (UHCI), and a couple Enhanced Host Controllers (EHCI), both Intel. On my ASUS P7P55D, I only see two Intel EHCIs, and a few Generic USB hubs. hmm.

Chipset
NVIDIA MCP61S

Therefore seems unlikely.

It should work on pc once you mod it to be pc compatible, to be honest. Macbook though, I have no idea.

Sorry I forgot to mention that I’m running Windows 7 32-bit on it. So I think it should be ok. xbox360 TE stick works fine.
thx for the reply.

anyone know if this would work? http://www.thesource.ca/estore/Product.aspx?language=en-CA&catalog=Online&category=USB_Hubs&product=2611248

Should do, looks like it’s a VIA chip from the pictures.

ok thanks, and if it doesnt, who cares its only 15 bucks  but it doesn’t say how many slots it is, is it 16x? cause I have no more free 16x, according to my MOBO it says I have 2 free PCI “conventional” slots and one PCIE 1x slot other than my 16x

What pci card should i get?

what pci card should should i get? i got a Dell XPS 630 / 630i Dekstop Motherboard - PP150 / 0PP150 and i got a nvdia chipset

Have you even tried it without one???

There you go sir.

Double post
