Hello,

Thank you for this subject, and above all excuse me for my english i’m french but i i hope you could help me to solve my probleme with this TE on PC.

I have the chance that my MadCatZ PS3 TE FightStick is well recognized on my PC under Vista 64 as PC USB WIRED STICK 8838.

I binded all the buttons in SF4 but when I press on R2 button i get the menu display everytime like when you press echap on your keyboard you know and when i press the L2 button it makes nothing.

But the L2 button works in the game controler configuration in the Vista control panel.

I tried to bind and changes everything in the button configuration but nothing change i have ly buttons who are working perfectly except R2 who load the menu display and the L2 who is doing nothing (but seems to work on Vista)

Somebody have an idea and could help me please ?

Thank you in advance

Anyone have any suggestions on what USB card to buy with the M2N-SLI Deluxe mobo that has the nforce 570 chipset? The XBox 360 fightstick is not working at all on my setup. The cards displayed on the 1st page doesn’t really specifically say what kind of motherboards these cards will work with.

I thought only the PS3 stick had problems with certain mobo’s… The 360 version should work

It has been such a long since the issue came out, and I do not think Madcatz has either the capability or the intent to fix the issue.
Anyway, after paying the full price+shipping to get a PS3 TE which does not work on 3 out of my 4 PCs, I pre-ordered the HORI PRO EX SE for 360.
I know the HORI FS3 does not work on PC without a third party driver either, but at least HORI had never hinted it would…

Intel core 2 duo

Nvidia N680 Sli

What usb card will I need to get … Please help me!! <3 mad respect for the person that helps :D:D <3 <3

Im considering buying this card , http://www.playtech.co.nz/product.php?action=showdetail&id=3047 any opinions … am i getting the wrong card , cheers!

I went ahead and bought this PCI card … I got an AMD+nVidia system, I’ll let you all know how it goes …

true

I am another unfortunate person bestowed with an nvidia chipset and a recently purchased PS3 TE stick. Now I did buy my stick for my PS3 but I would like to practice/record stuff on the PC version.

It does suck that it doesnt work, in fact I was under the impression it would use the same type of software that the SIXAXIS uses to get that to work on PC. Oh well, looks like I’lll have to buy a new usb thingy too.

I am surprised however that nobody on the SRK forums or in general has written a driver for the problem

Received and installed, it works. For those wanting to play on PC, the Rosewill USB card mentioned a few posts up will work.

I have the same issues, and I had just bought the TE stick without knowing about the Nvidia chipset issue. Even in the current version of the linux kernel where the sixaxis is supported, the TE won’t set inputs. I’m going to get around to see if I can write a program to fix it, IF it can be fixed in software.

Godspeed, friend. I’ve seen differing opinions on whether or not this is something that could be fixed with the likes of an official driver from MadCatz or somesuch. I personally haven’t a clue about programming or USB standards, naturally, but outside of attempting a dual-PCB mod on my stick to get it recognised by my PC as a 360 stick or some shit, a software fix is the only thing that’s gonna cut it.

Okay after reading through all of these 28 pages (got a slight headache now ) I had been looking around a bit, since my laptop is a dell xps m1730 with an nvidia chipset.

If i would use something like this, because I would avoid the whole standard usb ports then, do u guys reckon it could actually work then ?

I’ve got an xbox 360 SE fightstick atm, but since ive got a ps3 now, i was hoping to buy a ps3 TE , so i could use it on both the pc and ps3… but im a bit scared now of spending that money on something that could only be used maybe on 1 game on pc ? ( if only blazblue and tekken 6 would come on pc too :frowning: would be a no brainer then )

…

yer, I read someone talking about the same idea before aswell, and although like you said someone replied it couldnt work, it hadnt actually been tested by anyone, so i was hopin to actually hear if someone had tried it out.

I would definately try it out straight away if i already had a ps3 TE , but the problem is, I dont want to buy it unless i definately know it would work on my pc, otherwise i think its money not that well spent ( heard a lot of sf4 on ps3 = laggy ) , so yer :frowning:

That’s a pickle. I guess you’ll have to wait for someone else to chime in.

I’m not sure about the play on the PS3 as it compares to the 360, but I personally have a much better experience playing on the PC over the PS3. Aside from there being more players, making it easier to jump into a match, the whole thing feels smoother and more responsive. Whenever I go back for some play on the PS3 (I haven’t got my TE working on my PC atm, so I mainly just play with 1 friend over GFWL on random select for laughs), it feels like I’m playing underwater.

I think it’s a combination of me having a good PC that runs the game with a great, stable framerate, the fact that the wireless card I’m using probably trumps the wireless connection of the PS3, and the fact that the latency of my computer monitor is much lower than that of the HDTV that’s hooked up to the PS3. Basically, your experience will probably vary from mine. But for me, the PS3 doesn’t offer anything that the PC version doesn’t. Perhaps just stick with what you’ve got?
