I just got my ps3 fightstick TE today in the mail. I feel your pain. Capcom just sent out my 360 TE stick yesterday, so I do have 1 to use with mame, but I really wanted 2 for my mame cabinet I am building.
Just ordered the rosewill myself, vista 64 here, many of these USB via cards dont have vista drivers so, it seems to be the best choice out there.
PCMCIA… That’s the wide slot some wireless network cards connect to right?
… I don’t think my laptop has that… =/ I guess I’m going to have to get a new computer if I want to play SF4 with my TE stick…

But It looks a bit smaller than a PCMCIA I’ve seen in the past…
All the other laptops I’ve had in the past, it was more prominent…

Okay, this thread hurts my head. What’s the consensus so far? I’ve heard that the 360 sticks (SE/TE) work with no issues, but the PS3 sticks are having all the problems. So if I want to play on the PC, I should get a 360 stick. Confirm/Deny?

how do you know if the PC recognizes the stick?? Sorry if noob question.
Otherwise, if you have a mobo with Intel or Via chipsets, or a usb card with via chipset, the TE stick will work.

Agreed. It is perfectly fixable with a driver, but I dunno if mad catz is going to release one. I would write one myself now, but I am knee deep in my grad CS classes, and overburdened atm. Perhaps over christmas break or something, if someone else doesnt beat me to it.

Not kidding. They said something similar about releasing a driver for the PS3 to fix backwards compatibility with PS2 titles.
I got the PS3 TE stick with the expectation it would work. I got that $1 card that someone on the forum pointed out but really should of waited before recommending it but it was NEC rather then VIA. I am not in any rush though, and madcatz has turn face about their PC support with the PS3 stick. I am pretty sure someone could make a driver for it if they have the knowledge to. If it is being detected then by all means it should allow for some kind of input.
