yo sorry bro i know you have typed, and asked this question several times, cant you go to a store, and try it and if it dont work give it back?
Thanks for the response,
Iāve checked in store, nothing; thus the search online.
Itās not that Iām in dire need of SE/TE on PC, I just mess around with MAME anyway. I just thought, based on everything I read, that these suckers would function on both systems out of the box. Hell, the mediocre FS3 (r.i.p) worked.
Until a card surfaces, or Mad Catz takes action , I may wait and gut one of the sticks with cthulhu. Damn, I need more money for modding. It is fun!
You bet I did. They havenāt replied yet though.
go to amazon and i know they have a refund process, buy the part you need for your laptop and try it out, if it dont work post it back.
i doubt there will be a fix, its not a driver issue its a design issue,
i also mame and let me tell you playing on stick brings back those good ol days.
look at the sate i created the thread, there is no fix coming otherwise there would have been a official statement.
do as i did and take it into your own hands and get the most out of the money you paid on the stick.
Hey everyone,
After reading 18 pages I thought Iād submit what Iāve found, which is quite strange actually.
I have the PS3 TE Fightstick.
I too fall in the category of "Detects the fightstick but doesnāt register any input."
I have an Asus P5N-T Deluxe Motherboard featuring a NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI chipset.
As for results with PS3 Fightstick not working with OCHI, its not completely true, not 100% at least.
I have actually gotten this fightstick to work on my computerā¦how and why, that I canāt really explain.
It works at random times. I just plug it in, go to properties, mash the buttons and move joystick to see if it registers, and if it doesnāt work, I unplug it and try a different usb port.
After trying each port(maybe more than once), eventually itāll work in one of the ports. That I canāt explain why and how it even works.
But its seriously annoying going through every port until it feels like working on one of them.(which I probably tried earlier and didnāt work for some reason.)
Which is not a solution might I add because if I restart my computer, it goes back to square one.
From my findings, I just want to conclude to some of the posters that madcatz CAN fix this issue if they REALLY LOOK into it,
because with my case, it definitely does not seem like it falls into the category of a hardware issue, but a software one.
I believe with the right drivers in place, all the PS3 sticks will work properly.
I just hope madcatz releases drivers soon.
Oh btw my stick works fine on the PS3 fyi.
That link isnāt on page 7 āmy youtā.
Lern2engrish
Thanks for that for less then the other one linked I could have bought some kind of tricked out custom stick to work with my current usb lol.
(but still thanks for trying Matrix)
I found an old usb card in my junk haha and guess what it works perfect !!! anyways for those who the TE/SE still donāt work just get on ebay an usb card would not cost more than 6 dollars or wait for madcatz for solution ( I doub it ) this street fighter game made me spend almost $600 for sticks sanwa parts and game and now with the pc version coming out im gonna have to upgrade my video card and more ram and I already have the game for ps3 ( do you think this is stupid ? ) well, I canāt believe all im doing for this game and im not gamer and I suck playing strret fighter , ( im sure lots of people have spend alot of money too ) . Have a good one guys .and thanks to the guys that came with the usb card solution!!!..
Iām going to suggest a class action lawsuit. MadCatz knows the PS3 TE sticks donāt do what they are advertised to do - work on a PC - yet they are advertised as so doing. MadCatz might end up buying each PS3 SFIVTE owner a spiffy via-chipset USB PCI or PCMCIA card. Any lawyers in the house willing to step up for the cause?
Iāve actually received two replies from them that reassured me that the problem was being looked into.
ā¦That was three weeks ago.
Itāll take a lot of harassment before we see MadCatz doing anything about this. See: SE washer problem.
I just read all 19 pages of this threadā¦
and uh⦠like what R18 rider saidā¦
Is there a way to get a USB port with a via chipset on a laptop?
⦠easily? I mean, Laptops arenāt as easily customisable as desktopsā¦
(and my Desktop is severely out of date, It can barely do lag free play on GGPO, and probably wonāt stand a change at doing SF4ā¦)
I have a good trick : I sell this bloody version of Madcatz ! :badboy:
Too bad that Madcatz wonāt do anything for this version .
My PS3 wonāt last forever⦠my computer willā¦
Yeah you can get a PCMCIA USB card for your laptop. Just have to make sure it has a VIA chipset.
As for me, all my computers are nforce chipset, and I literally donāt have any pci slots left, (sound card, capture card). So I have to find a workaround.
Iāve tried the sixaxis driver and the sixaxis controller works fine, but stick does not. :annoy:
ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
This is absolutely ridiculous. MadCatz has known about the problem for nearly 4 months now. My e-mails are getting progressively angrier.
Honestly, I donāt think weāll be seeing a response from MadCatz about this. It only affects a small group out of all the people who bought the stick. Not only is it limited to only the PS3 products, itās also only affecting the small amount of people who bothered to try it on the PC only to find that it doesnāt work.
My rage knows no bounds.
Well, thereās always ripping out the PCB and putting in a cheap PS3 controller PCB (with turbo if you need it). I have learned my lesson and now keep my broken controllers for just that purposeā¦
I still think there are grounds for a lawsuit. There is nothing in the stick docs which say that the stickās functionality is limited to SFIV; MadCatz agents, within the official SFIV stick thread, claim PC compatibility.
Donāt be silly. Canadians donāt sue.
ā¦But really, someone should really sue them for not doing anything about this problem.
Someone should quote those comments before they are edited out.
sh*t⦠no wonder my SE FightStick isnāt working with my new Dell Studio XPS 13 - it uses the Nvidia 730i chipset. Could someone suggest a Express Card USB port adapter that would work?
Just got my TE about an hour ago, mainly to MAME on my XPS13 while at work and just like my Australian friend above, the sh_t donāt work:tdown:
