My ps3 fightpad works, but my fightstick doesn’t. Seriously??
XP SP3
AMD/ATI MOBO
Had a SE fight stick and it works well with my XP SP3.
Anyone tried if these sticks are working on a mac?
Just to add, the TE stick also works with zero effort on Win7.
Just a note, I’m running a machine with XP home, SP3, AMD, Nvidia chipset. My stick didn’t work in my USB ports, pulled out a USB PCI card and hooked it up. Now my stick still doesn’t work.
I wish I could say the same about my laptop that runs Windows 7. :annoy:
I have a MacBook running Windows XP SP3 32BIT and it works fine there (PS3 FightStick SE).
However, it doesn’t work on my main PC which is running the same operating system, but has an nVidia chipset.
halp
I have vista and it doesn’t reconize my ps3 TE stick!!!
Same here.
I’m hoping there’s a fix for it by the time the PC version of SF4 is out.
Im running vista aswell, and it doesnt work either. Hopefully they can come up with a fix soon.
Hey guys, just received my SE XBOX 360 one from amazon(uk) (amazing service ordered 1 on Wednesday nite, and did the free delivery got it today (Fri).
Plugged it into my pc, xps 630i, and worked.
Didn’t need to update any drivers or anything, just plugged it in and off it went. All the buttons register as with the stick.
the condition of the unit was a little dirty with sticky bits on the panel, theres also a score on it But all in all, its all good.
Using vista 32 bit, no idea what mobo i am using, but i plugged it in to the front of the pc rather than the back.
will see if i can get hold of err whats it called on the pc to try it… mame is it?
I have a 360 SE too but mine doesn’t work, probably because I have an Nvidia mobo. I don’t know if they’ll get around to fixing it until the PC version of SFIV hits.
The reported issue is only with PS3 sticks.
My friends’ works, but I had to manually configure it into Mame myself to work. I also did this to other programs.
360 TE, not working on Vista x64 (Asus mobo, non-nvidia chipset).
When I plug it in, the guide lights up and then turns off. Tried every port available, but nothing worked.
PS3 SE Fight stick Nvidia 750i working but keys not responding in vista x64, first tried to plug it into my buddies Quad core AMD Phenom setup vista x64 as well i think and it did the same as my nvidia chipset: detected and installed the drivers without a problem but keys don’t respond at all. Then I plugged it into my buddies notebook IBM Thinkpad running XP 32-bit works fine.
Wonder whats wrong with amd/nvidia chipsets, I really wanna use this on my computer but I have no pci slots free for a pci-usb adapter card. Please come out with a fix soon!!
PS3 SE & TE, and PS3 FightPad.
All working properly.
XP Home, SP3 non/Nvidia mobo.
Vista x32 home basic w/ ps3 te. Pretty much was plug and play for me. It searched for and installed the driver the first time I plugged it in. Had to configure it in mame to make it work, though. But I guess that is pretty much standard.
However, the only problem I have is actually using the stick in mame. Without it plugged in everything plays fine, but when I want to use the stick I get a terrible slow down. Would I be better off using a pad made specifically for computer use? Or would I get the same slow down in gameplay because I’m trying to use a peripheral other than the keyboard? I don’t have the greatest computer, but it ain’t too shabby either. I just don’t get why one arcade stick can have such an impact if the comp plays the games fine without it.
I have tried both the SE stick and the TE stick on my abit 770i mobo and it doesnt register any button presses or stick movement at all but I do get a message when I plug it in but thats it. And Im using xp sp3 32bit
Is there a software fix for this? I just got the PS3 TE and am having the same problem. Basically the stick appears in the control panel but none of the buttons or joystick input works.
