i liked how it drives home that no matter what’s going on with don, he can always fall back on chicks not being able to keep their hands off.
oh and best of season 2 marathon is playing…

Less than 10 minutes until the premier of S4!!
getting hype!
Oh shit, totally forgot!
Like a comrade and I were saying, the show really has a bright hippy~esque/ avant garde cinematographic approach now. I’m likin’ the interactions so far, less gloom more “oom”.
when don showed up to his crib and put betty on notice i had to pump my fist bcuz don was really depressing me up to that point.
I love how he took a 180 degree turn after he saw himself in how those fuddy-duddies in the swimsuit company were acting.
*“Get the fuck out of my office. You, call the Wall Street Journal.”
“Hi, Mr. Interviewer. I’m Don Draper. I’m the fucking shit.”
credits roll*
He’d rather make the company move up beyond the trivial stuff, saw how Don made up an advertising gimmick that appealed to them in 3 seconds even though he knew it wouldn’t sell (dogs, beach, kids) and yet they couldn’t get the message.
The company was destined to fail, which means they wouldn’t get paid in the long run.
According to Elizabeth Moss (Peggy), this is the best season they’ve done so far. I’m loving the interactions between people, especially now that power structures have changed.
i’m kinda interested in who this new guy that works under peggy is. also, i hope they show what’s going on back at the old firm bcuz i really like ken cosgrove as a character.
Peggy’s new found confidence is pretty amazing from just watching that one episode, I’m really diggin her character developent over the seasons. And since when does Don like getting hit in the face? Completely threw me off
Maybe it’s a way of punishing himself?
It makes sense. Don is a man who has almost total command over women, so its understandable that he would enjoy being the “submissive” for once…
I think he might be a self-hater. The slaps were a way of “punishing” himself for fucking up at work.
don was just going through a rough patch, i’m pretty sure he won’t be lettnig hoes smack him around anymore.
It’s guilt. It’s a bit unrealistic just because it hadn’t been happening before (we assume), but clearly it’s a shame-based thing. Over fucking up his family life, is what I think we’re supposed to get from it.
Draper flipping out at the bikini account people was obviously about himself, and him snapping. He’s had clients which were a lot worse, and was always more or less professional. Dude literally snapped at them. Like, he actually snapped his fingers and motioned towards the door, like he was talking to his dog.
Premiere was kind of underwhelming, I think, but good. Maybe it was just the slow start.
like who? for the most part don’s clients are either clueless or just so enamored with his ideas that they do what he wants. the bikini guys were on another level and i feel like the writers went out of their way to show that to the audience with some of their lines and how hokey they were? but don needed that experience to recognize who the hell he was again, along with peggy telling him and newspaper fiasco.
The Bikini people where just stuck in the past and they didn’t see the future like Don was seeing it
Glenn is displaying some serious sociopathic tendencies. This is a Gacy in the making.
Roger Sterling wants to murder that Lucky Strike douche, I can’t blame him. It’s funny how he displays all this machismo but in reality he’s as gayer than Salvatore, since he was willing to threaten him for buttsecks.
Don’s secretary finally got live out her fantasy, only to be rejected the next day. Can’t help but feel bad for her. I think Don genuinely appreciates her, and sees her as a faux-wife in his lonliness, hence his advances that night.
This has been Don’s lowest part of his life since the series began.
sociopath? he hasn’t displayed any sociopathic behavior, if anything his problems stem from trying to actually reach out and empathize which is the exact opposite of sociopathy.
