Combofiend said he wanted to make Bison less brain-dead and added the s.mp and that stuff to make Bison players think of other way to do damage. I pointed out to him that the reason Bison is brain dead is because half his moves don’t work. That’s the problem.
Yes because throws, sweeps, supers, ultras and certain special attacks (inc command throws) result in hard knockdown. There are some exceptions (Dudley’s cr.hk launches with soft knockdown.)
Oh I probably misread, I knew they were gonna update the arcade release for the console version. So the console version is still gonna be the final version? No patches or anything?
I get what combo is trying to do and I also get what he is trying to do for the rest of the characters. I have ran into many bison players online and their entire tactic is to walk backward and wait for opponent to mess up. They win a lot and don’t have to think very much to do so because they have a HK, safe scissor kick, and fast walk speed. That strategy only gets you so far though, and most characters have some sort of braindead strategy they can use to win a lot.
USF4 is Combofiend’s and Capcom’s attempt to end autopilot and the 1p game. I also think USF4 will drive a lot of people away from the game due to this. People that once would win a lot will quit due to things not being as easy anymore. Reward the people who think and punish the people who just go into herpy derpy mode.
Notice how Bison pressure is still intact. I had this same experience. I see this guy wasn’t taking advantage of the buffs, whereas I was. When you factor int e buffs Bison is a lot better.
True. When I tested, I did most of it in training mode. Then kept trying the old stuff after a few games.
The issue isn’t that Bison is bad, there’s just better. I even find Chun’s ground game much better because it isn’t so 1 dimensional. People don’t know how to punish his “brain dead” pressure so he always got nerfs. The good thing is, I actually find this Bison better than AE2012 and don’t rely on his teleport anyway,
Bison deals damage now, but only if the players implement S.MP in their game. Using Cr.MK > Scissors to punish a Shoryuken or using only Light Punches and Kicks in a string is nothing but greatly nerfing yourself.
Because the new stuff is garbage . the juggle potencial in Jmp , dont change the things to much, and Stmp is used in very especific situation . then i think the majority Bison players will play him like before only taking advantage of the damage buff in scissor kicks
