M.bison USF4 , any Rumors of buff/nerf changes?

Air just tweeted, and I quote “I think bisons lk scissor is back to 0 frame. Gief cannot grab me on block no matter which range i perform it”.
Now I won’t celebrate just yet, but if this is true… man I can’t wait for Ultra.

You don’t need to scissors kick Gief anyway. I only use it on punishes, and at the very tip so it’s actually a scissors toe.

Same here. It’s risky to do point-blank against grapplers.
I believe that was just his way of testing to see if scissors were reverted back to being 0 on block.
Sadly, after reading more tweets this might just be a false alarm.
Since spds start up in 2 frames, he tested it using Gief’s ultra and got punished =/

As long has he can’t be punished that’s the main issue. beyond that I can wait a frame and whiff punish 4 frame normals.

Here is a vid with the European test highlights

-Test how far back EX DR travels(d,u+P,PP~b). This is because I want to know if this combo is possible: HK Knee Press, EX Red Focus, dash, EX DR, U1. The idea is that EX DR falls so fast that even if you hold back throughout the whole animation your backward movement is so limited that you’ll still hit an opponent as they fall from focus crumple(airborne state) and juggle them into ultra.
-get a grappler to churn ultra butter after blocking your short scissors, hold up
-check if Bison can whiff DR on the other side of the screen and not get punished by Hugo Backbreaker or super(Vega can bait his U2 with far wall dive so I’m not concerned with that)

  1. How can the EX DR (the second portion being EX) lead to ultra in a combo? I’m not seeing why it would juggle? I will try though.

  2. testing the -1 ultra/spd punish should be easy. I will do SK from point blank range.

  3. why would the DR work any different? I thought the changes that were made, were only to the EX version. Or do you mean the EX version?

This one has nothing to do with Bison changes. I’m just wondering about that aspect of the matchup.

Ex Devils Reverse to Ultra 1 would be sweet but I wouldn’t think you could land DR on a crumple. Worth trying airborne but it’s a troublesome thing to test.

If you get the chance Exogen, could you see how many characters you can land cr.lp, st.lp/st.lk, cr.mp, st.mp xx scissors/psycho on? Keep in mind if they’re crouching or not as well. Knowing our luck it’s probably the same standard list our cr.mp, cr.mk combo works on.

I asked Kim1234 this and he said it doesn’t work in the Japanese version but… Can you test a high hitting j.mp j.mp to (Ex) Head Press? The juggle will work if the hit boxes ever made contact.

Why should st.mp combo into cr.mk ? As far as I know is st.mp +2 on hit … because it does not combo into itself after a CH … but if this would work it would be amazing …

Hell Attack into EX HS would be sweet … XD nice idea … but I don’t think that it will work … maybe in the corner …

I think cr.lp, cl.lp, cr.mp, far mp into scissor is more appropriate. When i tested it few month ago it was character specific. Pretty similar to the usf4 PC mod

guys I will be going to ECT in a week. I may not be competing but will be there for support of my team. I was told there is going to be a location test there. I will be filming. PLEASE what do you want me to test? I need specifics. Try to give me things that are universal to all matchups as well as some serious matchup specific things. I may not necessarily have time to play on the thing for long, so let’s try to come up with a list that is practical and highlights the most important questions we need answered in assessing Bison. Also if Combofiend is there, I will be talking to him, if I can and try to understand where Capcom is coming from, and see if they understand out plight.

Please Exogen can you test if Mbison in ultra can punish EXHeadButt on Block with anything ?because in 2012 he can´t. for me honda is a bad match up against Bison after Guile . any way to deal with it will be welcome

Yeah sorry I meant cr.mp to st.mp, I mixed things up.

Sotts I know it may have changes since the loctest I was at was at the beginning of March but I was able to punish Ex.Headbutt with S.MP xx HK.SK for 230 damage. Without charge the best you can do is S.MP on its own.

I think people are just too reliant on the scissors pressure since it was so good in Super. I can also confirm the headbutt punish, I was able to as well.

I also think Kim is dropping Bison if Decapre is any good.

Ok guys, I will make a list then and test these things this weekend. I will also test the real effectiveness of the AA. Additionally, if Combofied is there, I will try to pick his brain to get a sense for what Capcom’s intent was with the changes they made to Bison.

test Hell Attack (only second hit) > EX Headpress > EX Skull Diver. Corner. Almost useless, but whatever.
Test teleport foward’s recovery
Test Scissors -1 or 0.
Test EX Psycho throwable during the first active frame or if they reverted the damage. Easy setup: Use Akuma’s Ultra during Bison’s wakeup.

Actually, if the hell attacj to EX headpress and EX skull works, that would be a very good corner combo to have, assuming it does way more damage than normal heavy PC. It would cost two meter bars, but if the damage is high enough why not?

What do you mean test the teleport forward’s recover? Wouldn’t it be the same as backward?

And how am I to test the SK? Do you mean to see if the SK nerf really matters?

The EX PC will be easy to test sure.

I will be complying a list. If I bring my laptop and they have wii fi, I can be talking to you guys while I am there.

To test scissors get Get gief/t.hawk buffer U1 during point blank blocked light scissors, hold up. If you get caught its -1, if you can jump its 0 or better.

… and if it’s -1 you can just put the stick down and proceed to “NANDATOOOOOO!”
