M.bison USF4 , any Rumors of buff/nerf changes?

I don’t think so man. I’m almost positive that it was adjusted so that it was more vertical and has less reach. I know for a FACT it got faster too.

The headstomp followup and FA2 didn’t actually change in frames. Since they’re multi-part moves, the frame data just changed their reference point as to when the transition takes place. In skull diver’s case, they decided to include the stomp animation as part of the startup, for whatever reason. An 18f increase in startup would otherwise be a hideous nerf.

Does anybody remember if EX-Scissors was throwable during its active frames in Vanilla? I don’t have my vanilla disc anymore so I can’t test it. I am trying to remember if EX-Scissors beat Akuma’s OS demon, or was that a buff in super.

Am I the only one here who thinks S.HK had frame and box adjustment?

S.HK was always 6 frame start up. Hit and hurtboxes didn’t change. Just damage changes.

Yeah, I think they nerfed the damage at the tip of the kick, at that was all, right? The thigh still did the same damage.

exsk was never throwable. always full invinc

s.rh hitbox was never changed. only damage adjustments were made. it has always been 6 frames

azza posted the exact change logs. i don’t know where he found that list because i was looking for something similar not too long ago and couldn’t find vanilla -> super changes

only thing i didn’t know about was the vanilla chip damage on PC. that’s insane and i want it back

I mean when it goes active. Like how EX-PC is throwable on it’s first active frame after the full invincibility wears off, which is why it loses to OS demon, and other meaty throws like fuerte OS U2, and occasionally you see Bison get scooped after doing EX-PC.

EX Scissors loses its invincibility before it goes active the same way EX-PC does, which is why Bison is so prone to trading. I just don’t remember if EX-Scissors could be thrown in the same way as EX-PC in vanilla.

It would be pretty easy to test, I just don’t have vanilla any more.

Its airborne when it goes active. Pretty sure thats always been the case.

i just tested in vanilla and exsk is grounded and throwable leading up (and including probably) its first active frames. i had no idea. in super they adjusted it so it’s airborne with no throwable frames similar to the other SKs until active

i never remembered this or even remember reading a change regarding this

nothing. People will still stop throwing fireballs when bison has charge

Bison can do the ultra after a jump immediately provided he have charge. That’s pretty much it. It is still the slowest ultra in the game with only 3 invincible frames.

It helps slightly so you don’t have to stagger hell attack hits as much to get the ultra to connect and thats about it. Hell attack still sucks unfortunately so not all that useful

Seriously Ultra 2 seems even more death in Ultra, because of the damage nerf. :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

Yeah, the move was completely designed based on being a motion ultra that why when it was changed to charge it lost almost all its utility.
Now it is hardly even useful for it is purpose. check this old developer blog to see what I mean.

i agree the ultra is pretty much useless IMO. 40f start up or 55f charge does not matter. The fact of the matter is the Ultra is really really slow.

They will never change it back to SSF4, but they could keep the charge and the lower start up to 13 frames and reduce the damage to 400.
Better yet I think they ditch the U2 and give us a new Ultra 2 similar to Juri’s Ultra 1. Then people might respect Bison.

Yeah agree with you guys, I dont understand why they didn’t do something like 370 Damage with motion input. That would be pretty fair I guess.

Ultra 2 was not even all that good when it was motion input.
