A terrible idea…
Please tell me the Edition select is not enabled for online play. All I am going to say, beyond that its interesting.
If it becomes tourney standard or allowed online Bison is screwed.
They will probably run ultra-only and any-version tournaments separate from each other, and I suspect that there will be an option to make an edition-select lobby and ultra lobbies.

I’m not so sure Super is better than Ultra bison.
That faster uppercut, standing strong, and improved ex. scissors are pretty nice. Its not like you ever landed U2 that much when it was a motion anyway.
They aren’t gonna run two tourneys, you think evo is gonna run an Ultra only and an any edition tourney? Not enough time for that shit.
They might run it as a side event, not a main event (similar to team tournaments they run on day 1)
They cap the team tournament or run it one and done. Two singles tournaments of evo size is kinda hard to imagine unless they add an extra day. We’ll see though.
hmm they should add a new feature called “Choose your frankenstein” where you can customize your character moves from different versions.
So my frankenstein Bison will have;-
1- ultra 1, cr.lk , S.HK , L.SK from vanilla SF4
2- PC, Ultra2 from super Sf4.
3-Super from SF4 AE 2012
4- M H Ex.SK ,cr.Hp, hell attack , St.Mp , HS, DR from Ultra SF4

hey a bit confused with this select any character from the SF 4 series, say if you select a character build earlier than Ultra. Will you still be able to use delay wakeup?
I do not believe so. The characters run on the engine they were in in their version. So Vanilla characters only have Ultra 1, and DWU and RFA are only available for USF4 versions of characters.
I think it’ll be a fun game mode to play casuals with, just like 2v2 mode in SFxT is fun.
You will need another character if they run any edition as tourney standard. Counter picking will be a must.
I hope they just run Ultra, but I think it cool that it’s in just to fuck around with friends. I can’t wait for AE Yun,Vanilla Gat, and Akuma to dominate top 8 of every tourney if any edition gets the nod.
If it is a separate game mode than I can see why you guys are happy about it, it should be a fun game mode. I just hope it is implemented that way as the game certainly lack additional content and game modes. I just hope it is not incorporated in the game as a main thing.
now that you can select any character from the SF 4 series, which version/build do you guys think is the best for Bison?

Pretty sure tournaments will be Ultra only. Previous revisions of this game had characters with legitimately serious problems. #NeverForget
Super Bison all day for meetups/locals/netplay, though. 
Man, if Super Bison had the st.Mp buff, it would be too perfect. Ah well.
seems like a good idea for casuals, side tournament, ect… but I doubt that I will be using any older versions of any character. I only got into SF4 in AE2012 so I don’t know how any of the older versions played. As far as Bison is concerned I think his USF4 version looks really solid. and I’ll probably only stick to lobbies and matches that only support USF4.
