M.bison USF4 , any Rumors of buff/nerf changes?

Guys I was checking Gagapa twitterto see if there is anything new from the Paris location test.
I don’t know French so I used Google translate.
There is something crazy there, according to Gagapa, cross-up Psycho Crusher is 2 hits and deals 230 damage !!

Pretty sure it is hell attack > HP PC … 230 damage for PC mixup would be broken …

That what I thought at first but Gagapa mentioned hell attack >PC and said it deals 192 damage. He specifically said that Cross-up Psycho Crusher is two hits and deals 230 damage. I think it is a bug with Psycho Crusher new properties because that will be an overkill, no way it will stay.

So anytime bison gets a bnb into light PC and hits a cross PC after it = around 400-500 damage.

Ok so i have been testing the new Bison version at Paris locations test. And first of all I have to tell you guys one thing : BISON HURT SO MUCH NOW !

Some things i have noticed :

  • cr.lp > cl.lp > cr.mp > far.mp The far.mp wiff on most of character. Work on Abel and maybe some other like Gief, T.Hawk…
  • cr.mp > far.mp work every time. Not more difficult than the cr.mk version
  • st.hp > st.lk > far.mp…same…
  • Far.MP > Psycho crusher doesn’t work every time when you are not enought close
  • Far Medium punch is very usefull after st.lk x2 or x3. Like when you do a dash forward cross down. It also allow you to do more combo (and more damage :slight_smile: ) when you land a cross up. So it is very good against character like Guile, Boxer, Guy… where close LP and crouch MK wiffs
  • EX Knee Press invulnerability beat a lot of projectiles now, so it does cover almost 90% of screen. But if you want to punish Sonic Boom lp from far, it will trade most of the time due to the slowness of this projectile.
  • Jump MP*MP > any normal doesn’t work
  • crouch HP is pretty good but trade often. I think start up is fine now but i would recomand to have a better hitbox
  • Knee Press FADC > cr.lp is even more easy than before (cr.lp is now 3f). I mean you can’t drop that link

I think that this is due to an oversight. They forgot to reduce damages on both hits. But if it is not a mistake it is broken ! lol

So, St.Hp,St.lk,Far Mp works against everyone? That’s pretty good if it does.
Too bad the first combo will be specifc. Lots of fadc damage going to waste.

this is AWESOME info! thanks for doing this - often when people test out changes they don’t test thoroughly and always leave blanks. it looks like you’ve covered all the bases well :slight_smile:

    lol… as expected. this buff badly screws over every fireballer. so long as lp booms can be punished from close-mid range then the buff serves its purpose vs guile

    not a big loss imo given the new pc juggle

  • crouch HP is pretty good but trade often. I think start up is fine now but i would recomand to have a better hitbox
    as expected. startup will help those corner case MUs where even if you were fast enough to react the move was still too slow.

    easier fadc combos is never a bad thing

something i’d like tested (if you can) would be…

…dash forward > c.lk > c.lp > s.lk > f.mp – i think f.mp should reach but i’d like a proper confirmation from someone who actually plays the character (you :slight_smile: )

in general i’m very interested about what we can score off a c.lk with an eventual link into s.mp > special

Im glad Bison does proper damage now. This was is biggest problem since hes easy to block against at high level play. Now if they gave us back our +0 on SK.

For cr.mp to st.mp how close to have to be to get that to combo? I am kinda hoping its possible outside shoto jab range

I agree but i would prefer qcf motion for Ultra 2, or an overhead. Anything that could make his gameplay deeper.
I can’t say that -1 on SK was a huge deal yesterday. I think it will take time to know how much this nerf is important

It’s something that you will mostly use after a jump or a Focus Attatck, even if it have a better range than cr.mp to cr.mk

For all of you that want to know more about far.mp possibilities i recomand to use the PC mod version of USF4. It’s didn’t see any difference with the last location test version.

Something i noticed too. When you perform a meaty Psycho crusher right after U2, it wiff. I assume that DWU still possible even after Ultra combo knock down.

The ex.knee press buff doesn’t hell that much against Guile unfortunately, testing with the PC mod last night and doing ex.knee press on reaction from full up to mid screen and its still to slow to punish lp.sonic boom. You still have to be within one third of the screen to punish it which is pretty much as it is now. So the Guile match up is probably going get worse IMO, not that it really matters as its pretty much unwinnable now anyway.

However ex.knee press seems very strong against everyone else.

Any clues on a roundhouse buff? We’re all tired of it getting traded with low damage! Man that auto correct U2 with Guile is gonna kill EX PC when blocked…

I’m assuming roundhouse as an AA? I’d rather have cr. fierce being a fully functional AA honestly. You’ve lowered the startup, now lower the hurtbox!

Autocorrect Ultra is ridiculous, not only it overpowers him, but it also looks weird as hell. Also, 5 frame startup? Are you serious? No way it’s gonna stay

Did anybody checked or can check if you can connect a point blank counter hit cr.mp (CH) > cr.mp > st.mp x SK/PC ??? That would be a beautiful CH combo. I dont have the PC version and cant test it.

I think that Bisons frame traps will become much more scary … basically everything will lead to +300 damage from.
