haha, I fuck with it in training mode to practice suki stuff but as far as doing it against another player, its just too cheap imo. It should be banned from tourney play and put up there with the gambit glitch.

yea thats pretty much it but it really depends on how you drive it. Since she can control it 5 times, you can choose 4 seperate times to set your plus frames up to land safely.

Most of the time if you extend it too long someone will try to guard cancel it and call their AA. Depending on how many more inputs the ball has left, you can dodge AA’s, land get a tron punish on the helper while creating + frames on point.

Ruby is really competitive vs people who like to reposition and attack to cover their helpers:looney:

she does too much dmg safely on helpers with tron:sweat:

another side note, if you need to protect a helper, vs some supers ruby can use her invincible startup to take out the first part(hsf), then she can drive the super to the ground and recover in time to block for her helper. It’s pretty damn versatile.

I play Ruby with Im/Sent backing it up alot.

The ruby/sent trap in the corner is too good, and the little pieces of the trap that I hit with do a lot of chip, even when they are off the wall. When you see a correctly timed pushblock, you can call the RH ghost/drones in advance since you know a SJ is coming.

I feel kinda scrubby cause I dont know the names of her supers, but I usually just do
the QCF+PP going forward, diagonal up, down, and then do either just a light kick for the forced roll (hopefully rolling into the corner/trap), or a light kick into the Ship. This cancels into the Proton Cannon well at almost any point, which does a pretty good bit of damage for a Ruby DHC.

Iron Man is actually pretty well paired with Rubys AAA. Im sure many are familar with the over-used slightly scrubbish c.mk>OTG? If you call ruby early enough in a rush pattern ( Or just use his c.opponent infinite ) You can make her AAA an unrollable OTG, which really opens up his rush game. Her AAA as an OTG = easy NJI or easy PC, your choice. Also, if you catch A point char & an assist with this OTG the PC is gonna hit both of them perfectly, which is kinda hard to replicate otherwise. The damage is astrinomical, and you get a perfect xx to HSF afterwards.

We all know Sent + Iron man AAA = death, on a wall. But it is kinda questionable due to the positioning requirements for mid-screen comboes sometimes. Ruby AAA is actually really good for sent. The lockdown is ridiculous in the corner. It really helps to control space agianst magnus and storm, cause its alot harder to square jump at you when that shit is popping up all over the place. If they do square jump into it, you can always SJ lp,lpxxFF lp, FP and hard drive DHC back into the Proton Cannon. Even a DP rocket combo off Rubys AAA is nasty on its own. And when you get to the wall you still have the 100% combo’s/resets of IM AAA, along with the blockstun Rubys AAA gives you.

I play the hell outta combofiend, so it makes sense I would gravitate towards this.
I really enjoy the ability to build meter safely without running away. Which im sorry, but ruby is better at than Magnus in some ways. You lose some damage and one-hit kill potiental, but that is still there with IM/Sent. The trap really does do wonders once you get used to locking people down. Its like a mini-combofiend with a trap. Fun & evil. Recommended.

Not sure if you knew this or not but you can MASH the buttons to get more damage from Rubys =GHOST SHIP SUPER= by mashing you can get more bullets to come out of the Ship cannon :slight_smile:

For Shoultzula or any other Ruby/Tron experts, what do you think of Megaman/Ruby/Tron? Can it be better than Ruby/AA/Tron teams?

I like that team, to keep shit on the screen/even harder for your opp. to move safely

when I play megaman, I don’t really have conventional AA’s anyway…I have stuff to cover space…like either drones…or IM’s AA or Ruby’s will work too =]

mega\ruby ron doesn’t go by the proper team chemistry rule but that doesn’t mean it can’t work. You’re lacking an AA and iirc, megamans DP has a sprite box near his hit box so it’s priority isn’t the best.

If you insist on mega\ruby\xxx, it should be mega\ruby\AA and mando can fit the role just fine. You’re missing some stuff that tron would give you but @ least you have proper team chemistry and ruby\mando is probably one of the better ruby\AA teams.

I’ve fucked around with this team and its semi buff. Sentinel can’t spit through ruby AA iirc so mega can shoot free busters w\o fear of a spit check. If sentinel tries to fly over them, you can use the screen drag busters to bring him down. The rock ball combined with the ruby AA angles is going to really zone off the screen. It gets stupid fast because there aren’t many angles left to move around.

ruby\AA ron is up there as far as low tiers go. Its actually near the top of the mid tier probably right behind morrigan, cammy, psylock etc… but ahead of gambit, guile, sonson.

servbot ofcourse is just there as a taunt character
you can choose to put other good low tier characters
such as cammy asst: dash
thanos asst: capture(works great)
Ruby asst: anti-air
bison asst: expansion or variety
blackheart asst: anti-air
or who ever you want. I’ll try throwing some into the video.
The key is to be patient, pay
close attention to rush downs, and find that opening.
The last thing you wanna have done is the fat man infinite
on jugg before you power up. So use your assists wisely.
Never use if uncertain of results. may lead to severe consequences…

*the reason i put servbot is because when i power up,
i automatically switch to servbot, not many people know
how to fight against him because of his size so they take
extremely little damage when he switches

Hmmm…i dont like the idea of tagging in servbot after you power up juggs because servbot has no real way to cover your assist. so if your opponent blocks the jugs assist, its almost a guaranteed free hit on juggs. Unless you do severbots expansion super, but he takes so long to build meter. Its probably better if you put rogue on point, at least she can air dash and cover and deal a bit more damage.

What assist to you have your characters on?

The team sounds interesting, Im looking forward to seeing how you use it…it just doenst have much team chemistry IMO. There are some fun stuff you can do with the team, but as a team overall, I really cant see it doing much.

Great stuff. I am trying to build all low tier teams though (by that I mean characters that aren’t very common in tournaments). Maybe I can use MM/Ruby/Ken or Morrigan or Guile or Cammy then?

Can you elaborate a little on what would be the best choices for a MM/???/Tron team? Or maybe for MM/??/Ken or Morrigan as well.
