Lost Planet 2 is 24 hour addiction

cheh,

ah, this is what I was looking for…a visual on these costume part unlocks: *Snow Pirate Elite is definitely right in line with my style… nice and bizarre…crazy-looking. Perfect.

I went ahead and installed LP2, as I can see it will be quite awhile before it ever leaves my system. This game is too damn good. Even at work, I’m sitting there thinking about playing it.

I watched the video of the Tactical Nuke eradicating all life on the map. There truly is no safe spot from that thing.

We need an Episode that culminates in using the tactical nuke on an Over-G akrid. Will pay money Capcom! Real money!

Ok ive completed the capmpaign, played a couple of online matches. How do you get the complete prologue A achievement? And i need some people to help me grind/get better stats/points/etc

You play prologue A. ;-p. Your best bet is to land a spot as player 2 or 4 I think.

no, prologue B is player 2 or 4, Prologue A is player 1(host) or 3

Subbing because I’m also addicted to this game :P.

If you guys didn’t know already, easy way to farm credits is play 3-1 on Hard, you basically cant die because the worm cant catch up. Shoot the barrels off at the last minute to blow him up, I got 25 boxes average, sometimes as much as 33!

You’re doing it wrong, bro. (Oh noes, Spootz is telling someone how to play a game again).

Farm 5-3 for credits. Set the difficulty to Easy and you shouldn’t have a problem (easy comes with multiple Battle Suits). At the end of the match, just stand at the opponent’s control station and grab all the boxes that drop. You can get over 100 boxes per run.

I was pulling 10,000+ credits each run. A run takes about 14 mins.

I stand corrected!

I already got a shit load of good stuff, like the grenades SP, but Il pass this on to my friends who I play with!

Also Shotgun II + Gunsword is an awesome combo.

If you guys are playing team games you should try just taking enemy control points down 1 notch, then leaving them without capping them, wait for them to come back and kill them all. Works a treat in MP, even better if you have the invisible to radar skill, you can just grapple above them haha

Ah thanks ill have to host a game then… is it me or should i start learning japanese since around 95% of the people i see or play with are…?

Also have any of you guys seen players running around with female faces without masks?

I think it must be a password or save game unlock, she looks familiar but I don’t know who she is.

is prologue B the one where you are flying in the airship? because if it is i didnt get the trophy for beating that.

if it isnt, then i already did the one where you start on the ground and got the trophy for that. so am i missing something here?

ps. the vs in this game is SOOO horrible, probably the worth multiplayer experience and just overall gameplay i have played.

So i’m assuming you can stay on their ship the entire time of the count down of the self destruct? Or do you just have to be on the balcony of your ship by the time it hits zero?

Loving the Akrid looking Snow Pirate Costume.

You can stay on the entire time as long as you have at least 1000 BP (because you will die at the end).

I’m guessing the only way I can get new costume parts is through the lottery?

I tried many many times but mostly ended up with new noms de guerres

How do you get Prologue B? I noticed the achievement but never got to do the mission.

I would think one needs more than 500 battle gauge points. Isn’t 500 the cost of a death? Having only 500 then would mean “Mission Failed” if you die with just that amount of points left.

*costume parts–it’s a long road, man. You get new costume parts for every 10 levels on a faction. I just got Snow Pirate Elite to level 30 this past weekend, which gives the cool Akrid-looking “Hunter” costume parts… I’ve only been using the mask though. It might be a bad idea for co-op to look too much like one of those creatures.

…at least if friendly fire is on “lethal”. Heh, I’m still surprised 2 of my friends were playing with that bullshit on. I haven’t seen ANYONE else with friendly fire set to lethal. It’s really kind of stupid and pointless, imo.

Anyway, I’m up to level 38 or so with Snow Pirate Elite…may go ahead and hit 40 tonight. I also have the NEVEC dude on level 30; 2 other characters are 20-ish, Femme Fatale is still level 5.

Episode 2 is quick and easy points for solo-play. Nothing in that entire level is difficult to deal with by yourself, and it nets you a reasonable few thousand each time, and it can be run in like 13 or so minutes, probably less.

You can get Costume Parts by leveling up factions OR you can keep using the slots until you’ve bought every Nom and Emote, then you will be able to get Costume Parts from the slot machine.

Best way to level up Faction is to play 5-2 or 5-3. You must use the giant laser and have someone shoot T-Eng at it while charging so you get level 3 laser beams. Also, you cannot be the host of the game (player 1 gets considerably less Faction points from the giant laser). If you do this, then you will get 20,000 Faction points per run (40,000 points with the Superstar ability).

She is one of the leader heads for the Femme Fatale faction, you unlock it at lvl 90. it’s actually pretty bland when you see it up close. Disappointing really.

I haven’t found that a problem, but remember they’re on different time so if you’re playing REALLY late, then yeah you’ll play more of them.

yes, yes, and I don’t know why you haven’t gotten the achievement if you’ve done them both. Maybe just try again?

What do you mean the VS are “horrible”? They’re half the reason I bought the game, and the balance between them is pretty good actually.

I take down VS’s Left and right with My Plasma Grenades and Plasma Cannon SP. To tell you the truth I barley use VS’s in the game, I think there death traps.

i mean versus, multiplayer.
