I got mad at streetfighter a few minutes ago.
I threw my controller and banged it with a sledge hammer.
Then I crinkled my ssf4 ae disk in peices.
Fuck streetfighter. Unbalanced peice of shit. Everyone in the game gets a cheap ass revearsal but Makoto. You get knocked down you lose. Everything you do can be thrown or jumped out of. But if you knock down the opponent, they shoryu. You try to bait, they get backdash and get out for free. Fuck this stupid shit game.
Glad I broke it so I can actually do something productive in my life. kind of stupid how i just wasted the money but fuck it.
and theeennn.
Shinakuma is still handing me an ass whooping it’s actually got me in the training room figuring out answers to his shit. That’s how ANGRY!!! I am.
No. I can’t go in the training room with a broken disk lol.
Well I seem to regret it a lot less than I thought. Kind of glad I just shattered my addiction so I can do the stuff I missed out on.
I’m not raging over any matchup now. It’s more the fact that im not going to reach my goal of 70% win rate before Canada cup. Not because I’m not winning but because the rate only goes up like .012% each win. Fuck my current 6000 games. Wait I do have a character rage… Hakan is the stupidest fucking match up. I hate it more than t.hawk now
Slight update on the quest for A rank. Got up to 14.5k yesterday, have been having some pretty good success as of late. Have some slight trouble with Dudleys and Kens as of late though.
Recently picked up Makotes. Ragin’ hard over my terrible spacing and impatience at wanting to get IN at all times. Also my garbage-ness always messing up her crMP> Hayate OS.
Learning to not always rush and play the mix range game is what separates the bad Makoto’s from the good ones in my opinion. A lot of players don’t respect Makoto at mid range because they think she’ll all rushdown all the time but she can actually play a semi decent midrange game., and can shift gearss into rushdown in a hurry if you get the EX Hayate or EX Oroshi buffer off your c.mps.
Philosophy time (sort of)
So do you guys feel that ones abilities (not just in Street Fighter, I guess this could be for anything) are pre-determined and that one will eventually hit a wall where they will forever remain, unable to improve?
Kind of feels like that for me. For the past… I’ll say nine months, I’ve been unable to break past 2500PP, always fluctuating between 2500 and 1500, most often hovering around 2000. I don’t know, I try to improve and play ‘right’ but it just seems impossible to me. No matter how much I try to learn and practice (almost at 400 hours of this game) I cannot seem to climb higher. I enjoy this game, I really do. I’ve played thousands of games, but I think that even if I played another several thousand, I would still remain put at my current level.
/Sigh.
It just takes an effort on your part. Not to “play better” but to understand yourself in relation to makoto. I have a period of hovering about once a year. Last year this time I was stuck in your position sticking around the 2.5k range. This I’ve been knocked from 3.5 to 2k and made my way back multiple times to currently be at 3.3kpp and 13k bp. It(usually) doesn’t come easy and you’ll have to work for every point. When you get to 3k though it feels good. It’s only a block and if you keep chipping at it it’ll go away.
My god, it’s over. It’s finally over. I finally got that A rank I’ve spent months trying to get.
Sweet Jesus I am done with ranked forever. I got my goal and I am so doooooooooone.
Just out of curiosity. What was your win% with her on your way there? And your top/bottom 5 characters.
Win percentage was around 62 percent, although that’s still tallying my games from Super as well. I don’t have the exact figures on me but I know my worst matchups were Ibuki, Hawk, Gief, and Guile.
LOL… Is there a makoto in this forum who does well against ibuki or hawk? God hawk is such an ass character… 62 isn’t bad. I’m only 2000 away from A but my connections to bad for ranked right now. Grats with the conclusion. I’m aiming for 1 though
Well I will probably eventually pick Ranked back up myself…A+ is tempting too lol. I’m probably done for a week or two though.
This is only somewhat true…
Dudley’s :hp: uppercut is now 3 frames
His Ex version is still 4…
Safe Jumping: while
:hp: dp might come out in 3 frames, it does not have hit invincibility at all… Makoto, or any character for that matter, can jump in for free with incredibly sloppy timing and counter-hit him out of if he he tries to use it as wake-up…
Ex on the other hand… while as i said earlier, is still 4 frames, 4 frame safe jumps still apply!
Dudley’s normal srk has no invul. If he doesn’t have meter I meaty oroshi > OS ultra 1 or hayate etcetc. I don’t think Dudley is even remotely a bad matchup. It’s 5-5 IMHO. You need to stop trying to challenge his normals and block. He doesn’t have good mixup. He’s entirely frame traps and some good normals. Once he makes a mistake its over.
Dudley? He does the damage and has a nice high low mix up but eh…Cammy is the bitch. It’s so easy for her to keep pressure going and get those stuns. Seems like it’s what Makoto was like in 3S when I listen to 3S guys. The only difference is that Cammy has an uppercut that just seems to beat everything but Block (at least it’s safe jumpable). :\ I thought I had figured out a gameplan but now I’ve lost it after not playing for 2 weeks.
SCREW FUERTE…seriously though. His vortex is freaking deadly…i’d much rather try to escape ibuki or akuma. Maybe i’m just doing it wrong, but it just seems like i can never guess right. And how on earth do you avoid the backflip tortilla grab spin thingy? So frustrating, Im so glad this thread exists AAHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Im going to sleep…
Forward dash on wakeup against feurt can take you a long way. Another thing i go to on occasion is MP. Fuki its not invincible but if he slams or something along those lines he will knock you out of the air and you can quick rise.
And on that not the whole reason why i stopped by this thread, Why does Cammy exist!?!?
man fuck this game
