Cammy exists to spread her legs for you with uppercuts and go down low on you with Spiral Arrow. Such a slut. Either way I haven’t been having trouble against people lately. Seems after not playing this game for a while I’ve come back and can read people a lot easier for some reason.
Can understand my avatar now?
got diagnosed with secondary carpal tunnel, hadn’t played for months! i finally jumped back in the game for a couple rounds and man, I CAN’T WIN!!!
I got beat by every dhalsim and gouken online…THAT’S where i’m at now lol
I am sick of people just uppercutting or throwing. Especially online. I fucking hate online.
I know I can beast on people, even high level players, but I just seem to be unable to think or play smartly. Might have something to do with idiots online, or maybe cause I play in the morning (3am) I dunno. I just can’t play good anymore. Maybe it’s too hot for me to play a solid game? I am sweating whenever I play lately.
I dislike the mirror match very much.
Whoever was the guy who designed Viper better hope i never find him on the streets, That character is the most brain dead thing i have ever seen
Hai, im back to moan about fuerte and shenanigans in general…why lawd why?! Fuerte takes all the skill out of the fight and leaves nothing but guessing. Its so annoying. Is there anything to slim down the options or is it really all just guess and hope you got it right?
edit: ALSO SETH
edit2: AND ALL THE OTHER VORTEX STYLE CHARACTERS
I despise those matchups as well, the only thing i do in those fights is try my hardest to get the first knock down. ry getting as much damage as possible so that way when they get a knockdown its a lot less stressful dealing with the gimmicks when you have a life lead. That being said you never know whats going to happen against those characters : /
Ok I got one. I was playing ranked last night and came upon a B+ Rank Gen player. Went back and forth, won two rounds each. Last round I stuff everything he does and he gets rocked. Thinking I have U1 I do a focus attack and do the motion. Instead of punches I accidentally press all kicks and U2 comes out. Shocked that I had U2 this whole time but I was still getting hype for beating a B+ Gen player with Makoto. It completely misses him. Then he quick stands and does a combo that kills me off. I went from almost perfecting him to losing the round with him having a sliver of life left. What the hell?
didnt practice for a few days. started some training yesterday. while I could do a Tsurugi after U2 easily, doing it after Fukiage failed. I tried for half an hour before stopping. As if all memory was lost…screw this, I’ll stop training from now on…cant play that game exclusively and for a whole day anyway. One slip and all gone…
still I’ll play with the character.
Thats why I was flabberghasted when reading doing 20 FADC Shoryukens in a row. Not in 20 years in my current state…
I am finding myself avoiding playing Makoto cuz I don’t want to lose to people worse than me, which I keep managing to do with her.
I know it’s my fault, but, ugh. Frustration streak is go.
I’ve figured something out about playing Makoto online. Your biggest threat as a Makoto player isn’t the 4200 PP 27000 BP players. The biggest threat is the 1400 PP 4200 B Rank Kens who just do random fucking bullshit all the time. Mind games only work on people who are using their brains to play the game, and since our whole gameplan revolves around mind gaming our opponents into shit, it kinda goes out the window.
I haven’t played in almost a year. Was around 1700-2000pp avg before I took the break and now that I’m back, I dropped all the way down to 800pp before climbing out of the hole to 1200. Though I can honestly say my skills are 1 level above “ass”, I feel I should still be able to beat those guys…unfortunately, I end up losing because it’s so damn hard to figure out the logic (or lack) of their game. Thankfully, I’m old, and one of perks is that the salt levels don’t rise like they used to in my younger years. However, I don’t like losing to stupid shit, so I’ve resigned myself to playing the most boring, uninteresting version of Makoto I can formulate when facing these types of players:
-no block strings
-fish for tsurugis, AND
-safe jump setups all day every day.
Pretty sure I had a near death experience from the boredom.
Yesterday during the afternoon I took 30 games straight against some of the top players online. Last night I went on to play before I went to bed and I lost 4 straight. Two were random Juri’s, One was a random Ken, the other was a random Hakan. All of them I should’ve beaten and didn’t because of lag. I also ran into a guy who was really high rated, I soon realized why. He has the worst consistent lag I’ve ever experienced. It’s like playing in slow motion. The guy plays ibuki and mashes slide the entire time. I literally sat there and just kept throwing him over and over again. Then I dashed ultra’d and hit him.
I hate this game.
I lose more to REALLY convenient lag spikes than I do the players themselves.
My salt factor is omega
this is so right lol I play scrubs who mash dp and are just random. When they beat my week 1 makoto they get all hyped up then I say lets go ft5 and body them with boxer lol
Ahhhhhhh, kara karakusa is impossible for my old fingers.
Only did it like once after 50 tries. Keep getting c.lk.
Bro, I’m 34. If I can do kara-karakusa with my old fingers, so can you. If you’re getting cr. LK, it means you’re not inputting f+LK. Try slowing down, you actually have more time than you think when you’re kara-ing. Time to turn on that “show input” option in practice mode and study where you’re making your mistakes.
I’m trying to learn kara kara, also. Till now I’ve only used raw kara or the whiff cancel st.lk kara.
I feel like I did when I was learning my first combo long ago. Experience tells me I’m making it harder on myself than it is.
So. it’s f+lk, hcb +k. Simple as that, right? If f+k comes out, I’m too slow?
Correct me if I’m wrong on this.
An alternate way to do it is f->df->d, f+lk, b+lk.
I am instantly getting it with that method. Thankyou.
