It happened to me once when I was Rose and lost the match. When you’re right beside it it’ll cross up if you’re crouch blocking.
Lol yeah dude, that happens all the time. Its kind of like the 50/50setup after his forward throw except you only have to block one way.
Is there any use to doing TC4 > st.lp > st.mk xx neckbreaker? What’s the link between TC4 > st.lp, feels like 2f.
I assume this is character specific as well
Extra damage/stun/meter. The usual benefits of doing longer combos.
It is a 2frame link.
It is definitely character specific. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqClL3kJPchYdFlDd0VhMmt4R0w3TVdJQ2hHX29GLUE#gid=4
And probably to a certain degree, spacing specific, but if you are in range for a full TC4 you almost never have to worry about spacing.
littlesushi is probably gonna come in and rage at me for saying that Ken/Ryu aren’t doable. If this happens then I suggest you hit up training mode and find out for yourself.
Cheers Mingo.
Trying out a bit of Ibuki to take a wee break from Sakura
I’ve been hard at work and I can now choose where I want my Kunai to hit on Oki.
Just letting you all know of my minor progress with Ibuki.
But Mingo, I’ve done this to your Ryu, why are you saying it isn’t doable?
Anyway I came to say I probably won’t be playing much at all for quite some time. The mass of work has just come in so I’m going to be a heck of a lot busier.
I’m not going to leave without giving something though: http://www.xtranormal.com/watch/11288442/super-street-fighter-iv-arcade-edition-impressions?page=1
This was a video I made in Xtranormal after AE’s Day 1 Release at the Arcades in the UK. I wonder how accurate it is now that it’s been nearly a year?
Because it’s not consistent. Go ahead and try it in training mode.
So I don’t know if anyone saw the change that they announced today for Ibuki, but I’m hoping it could be big:
Ibuki
• When the first attack of Ibuki’s Ultra 2 (Hashinsho) hits the opponent, they will take standing damage.
I hope this means what I’m guessing it means. I started making a list on how easy/hard it was to Ultra 2 character back dashes. It got pretty retarded because I was noting certain things like this:
Against a lot of characters, they remain airborne an annoying set of time that the first hit would juggle them and they end up recovering faster than Ibuki and rape you for trying to do something smart. This becomes really annoying when you try and go for a U2 option select and they happen to be in the air for that set amount of time. So if this is what I hope it is, it’ll actually be the first “buff” that they gave her that I’m happy for lol.
Here’s to hoping.
i guess that also means we can use u2 for punishing any blocked long recovery moves (no more retarded timing on u2 after blanka ball)
Reliable EX Psycho Crusher punish, too. That’s a pretty big deal.
Can you combo off df+mk without CH?
Yes.
See Sako at NSB 30.
Yeah, I got ex PC punish down pretty consistently but its always annoying when I miss it on occasion. Good point.
I’ve been experimenting with Ibuki’s SJCs into her Super combo. I was then experimenting to see if I can connect anything after the SC so I tried U2 because I remember Sako posting a video of him doing it successfully.
The one I tried was TG4 > SJC > MP.SC > U2. When I did the U2, the first 2 hits whiffed (the one that looks like the HP animation), but the 3rd hit (the one that looks like FS.HK) was in range. When it connected, though, it showed the block stun animation, but the Ultra still hit. Also I had the CPU on Auto block, so since the U2 didn’t combo the CPU should have blocked it okay. Was this an unblockable or something?
The autoblock timer probably reset before the 3rd hit of the ultra landed
So the shoto unblockable works on Oni too, not sure if this is new or not?
Not new.
Edit: In case you didn’t know, it works on E.Ryu as well.
I brought up what unblockable works on the new cast like 2 weeks before it came out on console ;D
When I say shotos = Ryu, Ken, Akuma, And E. Ryu. I don’t think Oni has the traditional shoto hit box. I’m not sure but I think he can auto correct dp and hit Ibuki. I tested this briefly at Next Level when I didn’t have anyone to play. Oh and DJ Eric Darkside’s mu knowledge is incredible
