any bets on nerfs and buffs?

might get nerfed: tc4 damage.

potential buffs i could see capcom using:

less recovery on her sweep. ( her sweep is almost useless as it is right now because of its recovery)

less recovery on her st.mk (dont see this happening)

more range on her cr.mk (dont see this happening, it WONT get cancelability of any form i would imagine,either.)

more range or speed on her cr.mp (the biggest buff that i want that i also feel is warranted)

increased walkspeed.

1-3 frames of more hit and blockstun on kunai ( a godsend that also wont happen, i think)

slightly quicker jump (wont happen)

2 frames reduced recovery on all command dashes ( i think she deserves this, probably wont happen, but id take this over any other buffs)

3 frame cr.lp

her ultras and super are fine as they are (although i have a sneaky suspicion that they might decrease recovery on her u2 when it hits). and i doubt they will change any of her hitbox properties on tc4 as they seem intentional (they probably wont change tc6 wiffing on chun and rufus cause they probably dont care… also i just thought about it anfd they might buff tc8 by not making it wiff crouchers ( it already has a drawback on block, so none is needed on startup as well).

Lol just posted about this in the Arcade changes thread. All I really want is faster walk speed, and cr.mp to come out faster like you said. Also reduced frames on Command dashes… that would help.

Actually the underrated specials getting buffs does sound like a good idea(command jump/flip and command dash), yup everything else is in the AE Changes thread~

Going from pad to stick so hopefully that will open more doors of opportunity for me now.

I’d like to see them do something with the command jump. As it is it’s incredibly useless ( unless i’m just missing something).

I would like her not to miss the lp part on (half of the cast) crouching opponents.

Almost every matchup specific stuff is a pain in the ass in this game.

Oh yeah, what moucho said. Dropping tc4 is stupid… Though iirc capcom did say there were going to change Guys and Ibuki’s target combo hitboxes.

Guy’s target combo is “fixed”, a lot of people have confirmed that already (they say it is more reliable now vs everyone)…
…but i didn’t read a word about ibuki :frowning:

I’d like a reduced push back on s.mp
I’d also like a faster walk but we have a command dash so it maybe a bit much

Can anyone explain the b.mp anti air juggle reset? I can get as far as the b.mp command dash into hk, but I don’t seem to be able to dash cancel the hk.

What exact commands would be helpful at least, I’m not even sure what dash I should be using, lk seems to work best but sometimes it doesn’t cross up.

I think one of improved walk speed or command dash recovery could be changed, but not both. After a some ggs with Jordun on Live, i think you’ve got to be pretty alert to catch command dash as part of a string anyway, either to tech or punish it. Although my teching sucks balls.

Improved walk speed would really push her up the tiers a bit. She’d definitely be high mid tier at least if we had a bit of extra footsie power.

Once you hit the HK, just do :qcf::uf::lk:. Don’t do it too early though, wait like half a second then do it.

@Koma Yeah, her CD’s during blockstrings easier to react to then I had thought. GGs btw.

Fubarduck already mentioned one of the changes which was her falling straight down to the ground when she does a backwards jump kunai. I believe she’s supposed to get her c.HK target combo back also but not certain.

Well it really all depends on our recovery after we throw the kunai

falling straight down after the jumback kunai could even be a buff, cause ibuki wont get so close to the corner when she does it. but i doubt its meant as a buff so it will probably still have bad lag on landing. if it is indeed a nerf, i really expect some sort of buff to the other parts of her game, jumpback kunai was one of the only reasons she could even be considered playable since so many characters normals shit all over hers.

Falling straight down after the jumback kunai… it may open new vortex options.

I find easier to :ub: and :hcf: :p: kunai to “instant kunai” that :uf: and :qcf: :p:
If she falls straight down i feel like “command dash” crossup and “jump back kunai” them aiming for another crossup may be a possible new vortex if you fall with enough time to combo from it.

I’m just throwing weird ideas off, i’m pretty sure they won’t give her more tools to vortex to preserve balance (even when i think she needs a buff to be really balanced on the first place)…
…but i feel like the jump back kunai change may be a viable tool in footsies, because a lot of people here are talking about how awful her footsies game is, and to rely on fakes and such to survive and put pressure…
…maybe a jump back kunai, and land close and fast to be able to do something is an added option (and i’m not even thinking about the kunai from the recovery of our ex Tsuijigoe and Hien).

If this post is bullshit, i’m sorry, i have just read the jump back kunai “change”.

no that wont work. kunai crossup only works because of ibukis positioning in the air. in other words kunais dont crossup, IBUKI DOES. even if the kunai hits the opponent on the back of there sprite it will still be blocked normally if ibuki herself never crossed over the opponent. also this change is only confirmed for jumpback kunai, not jump forward kunai…and jump forward kunai is the only one that can crossup (cause ibuki lands on the other side of the opponent before the kunai hits).

Raida beating any Command Throw (even Ultras) plus Abel’s U1 is just awesome. Raida is so sick. It even beats Yoroitoshi! Love this under-appreciated move so much.
