Dear Ibuki forums: I placed 5th in a tournament yesterday Souper Bowl Monthly Tournament IV - Super Street Fighter 4
I fought long and hard (har har) through gay bisons and gay hondas. Though it seems either Ibuki vs Honda is 5-5 or better or my Honda matchup is amazing, because I double perfected the first one, and beat Rob Steven’s Honda (or maybe he doesn’t play Honda?). I also beat Rob Steven’s Abel and made him throw his stick in a fury of saltiness. That was pretty epic.
Then I have to lose to a noob who counterpicks both my characters. I actually would have beaten his awful Rufus (vs Ibuki) had it not been for a very goddamn lucky U2. I was going for a safe jump crossup with j.LK. He does U2. Then I block, thinking I’m on the other side. Nope. I eat the whole goddamn stupid ultra and now I have like 1hp left. Dont Jump or whoever was right. This game is fucking retarded with insanely easy and insanely powerful comeback mechanics. Good thing I’m probably never going to be training or tourneying this dumb game again.

How did you know, lol? Yeah at least in the RTS world you can’t do random shit or otherwise cheese your opponent compared to SF where good “reads” with your reversals can easily turn the game into your favor if not just win it for you.
6-4 matchups over there are considered almost impossible with some players even refusing to play it (eg: OvUD on SV in WC3), compared to SF where it’s just generally accepted.
Can’t wait till I move to London next year, where there will be a little bit more of a scene. Here in Aberdeen (Scotland) there is literally no one apart from me and a few friends, even then we will only play like once a month and they’re not too good. Still is a lot more fun playing offline then online. Anyways I’m just about to get my TE rigged up with some ibuki art, expect pics in the next 2 weeks :woot:
I’m now living in London, haven’t really worked on finding the scene yet. I noticed that the HMV on Oxford St has TE sticks set up for free use, and often a massive queue of people waiting to use them, haha.
I still want to get my general game and 'Buki specific game up to scratch before I get involved so to speak.
Was good ibuki players! Im new with ibuki and im trying to get good with her a quickly as i can. Can someone please post a link to the basics of ibuki such as AA, Meatys, Kunai Set ups, BNB combos and such. It will be greatly appreciated.

I like the new Alts for each characters, they’re either casual or extravagant(god knows we need to see another serious Ryu costume). Casual Ibuki was inevitable since we have her original look and school uniform.
BTW, got a Xbox 360 recently, need to either dual mod my current stick or find a fightpad/fighting commander EX. I do okay with the PS3 pad but the D-Pad on the 360 controller is absolutely atrocious for fighting games, it’s too bulky yet sensitive that I look like a noob with Ibuki randomly jumping/super jumping around.
